White House 'Reality Check’ Web Site Claims Health Care Reform ‘Would Not Add One Penny to Deficit’ Despite CBO Reports to Contrary

CNSNews.com) – A new Web site launched Monday by the Obama administration to rebut alleged disinformation about the administration's efforts to reform the health care system claims that reform “would not add one penny to the deficit"--despite the fact that the two health care reform bills that have been analyzed by the Congressional Budget Office are predicted by the CBO to increase the national debt by $239 billion and $1.042 trillion respectively.

The administration, meanwhile, has not produced any health-care reform legislation that has been independently determined to be deficit-neutral.

Appearing on CNN yesterday, Linda Douglass, communications director for the White House Office of Health Reform, said that the new Web site that premiered today has been designed to defeat disinformation and make sure people "can get the facts" about health care reform.

Health insurance reform would be fully paid for over 10 years, and it would not add one penny to the deficit.

Hey, that sounds kinda "fishy". Wonder if it's been reported to flag@whitehouse.gov?

The Dems are going to pass a bill. it will be the most radical they can get through the Senate with 50 votes. Nothing can stop it.

ANYTIME you hear anyone complain about the health care package, remind them that this is 100% democrat, and remind them there's an election coming up in 2010 that might be able to reverse this before it's too late.

(Republicans aren't much better, but the democrats are the pushers of this one.)

That rude AARP rep leaves them and then when she sees they will continue the meeting she rudely and viciously mean-take the microphone.

I am done with AARP.

There is no lie too spectacular for these people.

"The end justifies the means." - Alinski

"The first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom – Lucifer."

Alinsky advises his followers that the poor have no power and that the real target is the middle class: "Organization for action will now and in the decade ahead center upon America's white middle class. That is where the power is. ... Our rebels have contemptuously rejected the values and the way of life of the middle class. They have stigmatized it as materialistic, decadent, bourgeois, degenerate, imperialistic, war-mongering, brutalized and corrupt. They are right; but we must begin from where we are if we are to build power for change, and the power and the people are in the middle class majority."

The Senate is run by Reid and the majority whip. They use $$$ and the threat of being kicked off of committees to get their way. They can easily put together 50 votes and the bill will pass. it will be very close to the current form in the House. They DO NOT really care about what you think. 30 something do not face election for five years - an eternity in politics. Another 15 or so are safe becasue they are from liberal States. The balance can easily by whipped into line.

Has anyone posted this? I did NOT re-join AARP this year. Nor will I ever again.

The socialist create organizations designed to "help." They get people, over time, dependent on that "assistance."
They then use that organization to over load what ever system they want to control, i.e., elderly health care. Once the system is so over burdened it's starting to crash, the left comes in as the savior to "fix it." They rebuild it in their own image - socialist.

They did it to our family unit, our schools, housing, banks, they're still working on welfare auto, and now they're after the big prize - our flesh and blood.

Remember, we didn't have a heath care problem until Hillary decided she wanted to take it over. The trial lawyers were sent out to drive up the cost so high, the democrats have no choice but to "fix it" in their own image. Has anyone heard one politician, either democrat or Republican, suggesting tort reform? ANY politician at all?

In Rules for Radicals, Alinsky outlines his strategy in organizing, writing in the prologue,

"There's another reason for working inside the system. Dostoevski said that taking a new step is what people fear most. Any revolutionary change must be preceded by a passive, affirmative, non-challenging attitude toward change among the mass of our people. They must feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so futureless in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go of the past and change the future. This acceptance is the reformation essential to any revolution. To bring on this reformation requires that the organizer work inside the system, among not only the middle class but the 40 per cent of American families – more than seventy million people – whose income range from $5,000 to $10,000 a year [in 1971]. They cannot be dismissed by labeling them blue collar or hard hat. They will not continue to be relatively passive and slightly challenging. If we fail to communicate with them, if we don't encourage them to form alliances with us, they will move to the right. Maybe they will anyway, but let's not let it happen by default."

So why did the immigration reform fail so badly? Simple, people were outraged and let their thoughts be known. Only a blind man could fail to see the anger in this country over this bill. What does it do them to pass an abomination only to see a huge ground swell take them out of power and the legislation dismantled?

We can disagree whether people will let their outrage die but it sure didn’t in 1994 and this is no less and even much more of an outrage then what was going on then.

"...In the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying."

When you go to the contact us page of this website, the statement is printed...

"President Obama is committed to creating the most open and accessible administration in American history."

My question to them was...when would this policy of an open and accessible administration be starting...? Awaiting response...
