What happened to $634B Obama put in Omnibus as "down payment" on health care?

In March Obama proposed $634 Billion in his budget as a "down payment" or "reserve" for health care reform.

I don't recall if it made it to the final bill. I do know Congress rejected his proposal to offset it by eliminating charitable deductions for high earners. So maybe it got tossed altogether.

If it's in the Omnibus Budget, how does that work? Is that money included in the spending side of the health care bill?

As I recall, it was in the final bill. That’s why the spending was $3.6 trillion, and the deficit $1.2 trillion for 2010...

I was wondering that myself... 10 years setting $$$ aside for this health care nonsense, and suddeny BAM! we’re looking at a full-fledged bill readay to rock if it is voted into law...

Consider this and then add the billions of dollars in the “Stimulus” bill that will be used to convert all of our medical records to electronic filing. Would love to see the media add all of these components together and tell the truth about what will actually be spent on health care in the future. Oh yeah, be sure you include our out-of-pocket expenses - you know, the ones that Congress refuses to acknowledge in the “true cost” of any of their bills.
