Secretary of State Hillary Clinton compared Nigeria’s corruption and electoral problems with the 2000 Florida presidential election recount during a town hall meeting today in Abuja, Nigeria.
Answering a question about Nigeria’s recent election, Clinton said, “In 2000, our presidential election came down to one state where the brother of the man running for President was the governor of the state. So we have our problems too.”
That is a tasty combo of the Obama administration’s “America sucks” foreign policy, coated in some rich, gooey Bush Deragement Syndrome. Sure, the “media recounts” of the 2000 election showed that the recounts requested by Al Gore or ordered by the Florida Supreme Court would have still resulted in a victory for George W. Bush. Why would that stop our country’s chief diplomat from suggesting that her predecessors in government were there illegitimately? Certainly not Pres. Obama’s faux insistence that we let go of the politics of the past.
The sad thing is that this story will be heard by few Americans, and will register with even fewer. The silver lining? If the US Secretary of State can bestride the globe this drenched in BDS — almost nine years after the fact — without notice, what are the odds that a few anti-ObamaCare protesters are going to scare anyone today? (hint: Long odds.)
Update (AP): Here’s the clip. Between this and her “I’m the secretary of state” freakout the other day, she’s having a hell of a trip.

What an incredibly disgraceful thing for any U.S. official, much less the Secretary of State, to say to a foreign audience.
Hillary has said lots of stupid things over the years.
One stupid thing she said that I have wondered about is this: She once said “how hard is it to find the tallest man in Afghanistan?” She was referring to Bin Laden, as he is well over 6 feet tall. Well, now that good Democrats are in charge, why haven’t they found Bin Laden? What is she doing as Sec. of State to find war criminals such as Bin Laden?
In fact, now that good Democrats are in charge, all of the world’s problems will be solved. We will live in a socialist utopia and live in a nuclear free world. All thanks to Obama and Hillary and Nancy P. and Harry Reid and Rahm Emmanuel and the gang.
Hillary is really getting stressed. Maybe its time for some of that “end of life” counseling.
I guess Hillary has forgotten how Ralphie Nader drained 97,000 votes in Florida from Algor, and handed the election to Bush.
If we don’t have a good winnable candidate
then you know, I wouldn’t care if it was her.

The 2008 election was the mother of all rigged elections.
Of course it was rigged. All stops were pulled, even to point of Dan Rather calling Florida at five past seven when the polls closed at eight. And Bush won anyway!
Election 2000 was rigged - and the dems were astounded that Bush won anyway!

US- “Please do what we ask.”
Russia- “You suck! We are not going to do that”
Obama administration-
US- “We suck. Please do what we ask??!”
