Militia groups with gripes against the government are regrouping across the country and could grow rapidly, according to an organization that tracks such trends.
The stress of a poor economy and a liberal administration led by a black president are among the causes for the recent rise, the report from the Southern Poverty Law Center says. Conspiracy theories about a secret Mexican plan to reclaim the Southwest are also growing amid the public debate about illegal immigration.
Bart McEntire, a special agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, told SPLC researchers that this is the most growth he's seen in more than a decade.
"All it's lacking is a spark," McEntire said in the report.

I remember a few years ago when SPLC bowed to pressure and added the Nation of Islam to their list of hate groups. The addition of the NOI came with a long, rambling disclaimer on how all “minority” groups that had a “hateful” message were “forced” to do so in response to white racism and that it really wasn’t their fault.
Soooo interesting that this report should be issued now that the pressure is being ratcheted up on Congress, greater than ever before, by so many millions of average Americans who have NEVER demonstrated or protested about ANYTHING.

I’ve never given much thought to the militias, but with the way the dems are trying to turn this country upside down...it gives me a comforting feeling that they are out there.
I was too young to be really politically involved in the 90s during the first militia movement, and it sucked to see the America-first crowd muzzled during the Bush admin, but I’m absolutely thrilled that more and more people are getting involved in saving the Republic. Perhaps Maobama is the best thing ever to happen to the United States. He’s like a one man wakeup call.
Yep. My favorite part of the report:
"Fox News host Glenn Beck, who has called Obama a fascist, a Nazi and a Marxist, even re-floated militia conspiracy theories of the 1990s alleging a secret network of government-run concentration camps."
Funny part is that anyone that has actually seen the FEMA camp episode knows that Glenn was DEBUNKING the theories.
Oh and Obama is a Marxist. Don't think that Glenn ever called him a Nazi.
Having the president come a hair’s breadth from directly ordering the beating of poltical opponents, having the left trying to takeover our healthcare, having protests slandered as un-American and shills for undefined but undoubtadly evil corporate interests, having inspectors fired for exposing theft from the public trough but Hussein’s buddies, and a litany of other crimes against law and liberty has NOTHING to do with the ris of ‘militia groups.’
The irony is that, for any American who believes in saving this country from ruin and betrayal, the so-called militias are no threat at all.
If someone feels threatened by militias, perhaps they should do some soul searching. Why would the US Constitution be a threat to you? Why would free people be a threat to you? Look in the mirror.

To the Lefty racists at the Southern Poverty Law Center, like Obama’s “homeland insecurity”, any white American who owns a gun and opposes the left, is a milita member/domestic terrorist.
Clinton’s police mob took off on this b.s. and brought us Waco and Ruby Ridge...followed by Oklahoma City. Bam is gearing up to do something stupid, watch.
