The worst thing that can happen is for them to make this more palatable. Why? Because every single government program always gets bigger and worse as time goes by. This idiot republican is making this bill more attractive so that it passes and then it just gets worse. Grassley is an idiot. Helping Obama getting his way.

maybe he realized that whatever political party appointee is in charge of these panels will deny care to anyone who is not a registered member of the same political party. nothing like killing off the opposition, iranian style.

The Dems do not need ONE GOP vote to pass this monstrosity.
They need to say—none of us are voting for this abortion of a bill. Reasons? Just list those given by the regular folks at these town hall meetings.

Palin and Rush are only two putting themselves out there against the bill, with some help from Beck, Hannity, and Levin.

If Grassley, Snowe, etc. had any patriotism in their veins they’d be doing all they could to kill the bill. Then they could take up meaningful reforms: tort, regulatory, etc.

Grassley can say anything but DC Insiders know that you never say never until the end bill comes to vote. With the Dems in charge, my vote is 'NO NO NO'. Besides, as others have said any bill written this obscurely and grotesquely needs a wooden stake through its center in the light of a full moon and then doused with Holy Water!

Frankly, I'm more worried about these attempts to make this bill more 'palatable'. The people promoting it are liars who will lie about anything to push marxism on an inattentive people. Get people to agree to a 'shell' of health bill, and then they'll shove the rest of the stuff into it later.
This bill doesn't need to be tweaked - it needs to go into the shredder.

I think that they are, yet again, going to find out that the people (especially the seniors) aren’t as stupid as they seem to think.

Sure they can take out ending your life provisions today, but they can put them back in next month, next year or anytime down the road if they get 0bamacare passed.
