I guess it all depends on what the definition of conservative is.
I was at the Secaucus NJ town hall meeting yesterday. North NJ ( Hudson County) is behind enemy line..YET..We outnumbered the Pro Obama folks 10 to 1 easily. People were forceful and didn’t take ANY crap from our congressman.People brought up a lot of points besides health care, including the general distaste for those in power and and the Socialist leanings of Washington DC. Some real strong conservatives came out of hiding.
That wouldn't come out in a "liberal vs. conservative" poll. Those numbers are usually from "party" polls (as Dems/Repubs/Independs). As I recall, nationwide the numbers are about 33%. I pay more attention to this, being a registered, conservative independent.
They think they're going to fool us with the “Progressive” label. Heh!
No more Presidents from Hope, Arkansas!
