As Rush has been saying, the driveby/state run media are going down with the sinking SS Obama on this issue. They simply can’t see themselves and their party as wrong and us as correct.

I say fine. Goodbye! Enjoy the swim!

I just watched FNS and could not recall if Kent Conrad was a dem or pubbie. I went to his site and had to go through about 7 or 8 pages before I noticed a small disclaimer at the bottom of one of the pages that "some info was compiled by the DNC on some topic.

But, it was truly revealing just how generic his site was.

It was totally devoid of any mention of whether Conrad was a dem or pubbie! Tell me these guys are not running scared and for the hills as well!!

Very thoughtful post and well said, maica!

Thousands of citizens have actually gone to demonstrations and meetings this week, and have seen the signs brought by their neighbors and heard the quality of the protesting voices. Then they have gone home and watched their local or cable tv coverage of the events and realize that the media definitely does not air the actuality of the events.

I have noticed exactly the same thing! If folks aren't plugged in to the internet and/or talk radio, they are missing most of the story on this health care issue. I've watched a few hours of the national morning "news" shows this week(non-cable). It's as if nothing was happening. Toward the end of the week there was some mention about the "crazies". Today's lineup on the Sunday political shows was a nice surprise.

Actually Medicare does pay for a skilled nursing facility, but only for the first 100 days, after that it is paid for either by family or Medicaid

This includes a lot of beltway pundits.

I really like that Bill Sammon is now the Washington managing editor of Fox News, as I think that he lives in the ‘real’ world.

no use bashing Medicare. People love it (I do) and it’s entrenched. That’s the problem with this new bill. It’s way to easy to get something like this entrenched and then you can’t get rid of it. It needs to be stopped.

Medicaid is a charity program that I don’t know too much about but probably should be looked at.

” I really like that Bill Sammon is now the Washington managing editor of Fox News, as I think that he lives in the ‘real’ world.”

Very good commentator. Truly balanced, but not afraid to tell it like it is.

Also like how he finishes a thought. Many of todays anchors/commentators are only interested in getting out their script....

Sammon wants us to understand.

Are you inferring that not even Totus can keep track of all The Joker's lies?

The disk and memory capacity available to Totus has been exceeded. (That's why Totus was out of commission last week - they were doing an upgrade.) The only thing is - with more data to be processed, that will affect Joker response time. Expect many more "er's" and "uh's." (There are some laws that even Joker can't work his way around, like laws of physics for example.)

Snippit:

If you are under full retirement age for the entire year, we deduct $1 from your benefit payments for every $2 you earn above the annual limit.

For 2009, that limit is $14,160.

In the year you reach full retirement age, we deduct $1 in benefits for every $3 you earn above a different limit, but we only count earnings before the month you reach your full retirement age.

If you will reach full retirement age in 2009, the limit on your earnings for the months before full retirement age is $37,680.
(If you were born in 1943, your full retirement age is 66 years.)

Starting with the month you reach full retirement age, you can get your benefits with no limit on your earnings
