When I saw Prilosec on there, I was very concerned. I have to have it, but I started getting Omeprazole (same stuff, different name) several months ago. It says it is made for Sam's, in Israel. Anyone know anything about it?

I started using Angel Soft several years ago. Charming caused plumbing problems.

"HUH? I thought it was all about Glen calling Obama a racist. What gives? "

I don't know either. I've never heard him say anything about poisoning anyone.

Maybe you should write them and ask...

They’re either ignorant of the facts or lying.

I agree with kempster - you SHOULD e-mail your list to Glenn - this is GREAT stuff!

...and don't forget your story, too. It's so Glenn-esque to affect so many people with a positive, cause-related change!

Here is the response I got from Geico when I told them we would not be renewing our policy.......

If the inflammatory nature of the comments on a program overshadows our message and causes GEICO to be drawn into a national debate, we are likely to reconsider where we place our marketing messages, which is what we did.

GEICO delivers very important messages through its major marketing campaigns: we’re saving customers’ dollars, we’re easy to do business with, we’re looking out for our policyholders. That’s what we hope the public hears and sees and focuses on.

As a company, we do not take positions on controversial issues.

As an advertiser, while a national debate on issues can be healthy and appropriate, we don’t see ourselves in the role of taking part in those debates.

Our business is auto insurance. We want to bring people value and we attempt to reach large audiences with that message.

It is of little benefit to us if a program gets so much attention that our message is drowned out.

Iams-17.5lbs/18.79------Pedigree-20lbs/12.39--------9.08

Might wanna check your calculator batteries...

Iams is only 17.5lbs. So 20lbs. of Iams would be $21.47.

we felt Glen Beck went too far when he suggested poisoning someone with whom he disagrees.

I am a little out of the loop on this controversy, but this is the first reference I have seen to this statement. Is there a quote of him saying this, with context?

It sounds to me like Glenn is worried for his safety too. If he’s being threatened, it is by the REAL political thugs!

By withdrawing, they just did.

They could have sent the same message to the complainers and KEPT their ads on FOX.

You need to write back to them and ask for the EXACT quote.

This is from the ColorofChange website. They don’t say anything about poison.

“Stop the race baiting
Call on advertisers to drop
sponsorship of Glenn Beck

FOX’s Glenn Beck:

“This president has exposed himself as a guy over and over and over again who has a deep-seated hatred for white people ... this guy is, I believe, a racist.”

Beck is on a campaign to convince the American public that President Obama’s agenda is about serving the needs of Black communities at White people’s expense. It’s repulsive, divisive and shouldn’t be on the air.

Join us in calling on Beck’s advertisers to stop sponsoring his show. “

Sounds like Barb doesn’t much like Glenn herself.
Do you have her email?

We used to love Sargento products. Especially the string cheese. I’ll buy Kroger brand from now on.

Excerpt:

Color of Change has developed a 600,000-member electronic mailing list to urge members to sign a petition and forward it to Beck's sponsors. James Rucker, the group’s executive director, explained that this was the first time Color of Change had been involved in this kind of action. It is also worth noting that while seemingly accepted, many question Color of Change’s motives as it at first glance the group appears to be racist itself and only operates under the guise of anti-racism...

As we see more and more left leaning groups utilize the Saul Alinsky – Rules for Radicals deconstructionist playbook, we must be wary of the intent underlying their Astroturf reactions. And remember, like I said, Glenn Beck says what he thinks, and I thank the Gods of radio and television that his opinion and carefully researched information is protected by the same document that protects us all equally.

Democrats.com (and possibly the White House itself) are behind this boycott.

If these corporations would rather side with the partisan hacks at Democrats.com, they can go belly up.

Oh wait, some of the companies already did and are licking Obama’s boots to hold on to their bailout funds.

Has to be something corrupt about that connection.
