Yep,lol! Ya gotta wonder how all the libs, particularly the fools at LAWeekly, who've been shrieking that the image itself was irrefutable evidence that the person who anonymously produced it was a frothing-at-the-mouth white racist. feel waking up to the news that the artist is not a southern white yahoo but a Palestinian-American from Barack Obama's Chicago who prefers Kucinich but likes Obama and generally supports his policies.
The LA Weekly's money quotes?"The only thing missing is a noose." and later: "[R]ace was very much part of the illustrations attraction."
And from the Washington Post, which actually takes the trouble to say that it's the image & not the socialism tag which is most egregious:
So why the anonymity? Perhaps because the poster is ultimately a racially charged image. By using the urban makeup of the Heath Ledger Joker, instead of the urbane makeup of the Jack Nicholson character, the poster connects Obama to something many of his detractors fear but cant openly discuss. He is black and he is identified with the inner city, a source of political instability in the 1960s and 70s, and a lingering bogeyman in political consciousness despite falling crime rates...Obama, like the Joker and like the racial stereotype of the black man, carries within him an unknowable, volatile and dangerous marker of urban violence, which could erupt at any time. The charge of socialism is secondary to the [image's] basic message that Obama cant be trusted, not because he is a politician, but because hes black."
LOL!
Heh-heh. The left was totally pwned by one of their very own.
“Heh-heh. The left was totally pwned by one of their very own.”
It is delicious isn’t it?
I’ll be snickering over this one all day.
