Now, unless the Obama family had some connections, there would be no way that benefactor Elizabeth Mooney Kirk's path would have crossed with Obama's. The idea of a Kenyan youth being sent off to study at an American university would have been a pipe dream to the average Kenyan family at the time.

So, everyone of the Kenyans on those airlifts were politically connected? Great theory.

I can tell you from personal experience that just about all foreign students studying at major American universities in the 1960s - especially those from underdeveloped countries - came from the upper socioeconomic classes in their native countries. And since those native countries had societies where wealth and political power were strongly correlated, it's a good bet that Obama Sr. didn't win his financial assistance to the U. of Hawaii by a lottery.

Airlifts? That word would imply that Obama Sr. was evacuated out of Kenya to the United States as a humanitarian gesture because of some disaster (e.g., war) occurring in his native land. That's a new facet of the Obama story I've never heard before. I believe that Obama Sr. first came to Hawaii in 1959, a few years before any "airlifts" to which you refer occurred, and that the contention that he came on an airlift was shown to have been yet another myth in the Obama story.
