This is a GREAT ad. I hope it is published in every newspaper in America!!! It’s about time to shed the light of truth on the corrupt, immoral reprobrate demoRATs. I love every poll that shows 0bozo plummeting, but the rest of the scurvy demoRATs need to go down with their Titanic ship of failure. Scurvy rat b@stards!!!

How come nobody points out that the Community Reinvestment Act was based on race. It came about because of allegations of “redlining” that supposedly discriminated against blacks. It was pushed by racists in congress and by racist groups like ACORN. Now the racists, including our President, refuse to take reponsibility for the devastation it has caused. We need to honestly address the harm that policies based on race cause or we will just have more situations like the mortgage fiasco.

The ad referenced is too dense.

The above Beavis and Butthead poster would be far more effective.

Somehow, I just don’t believe that if the GOP doesn’t take responsibility for their mistakes how the American people will ever trust them again with power.

The point should be to make the GOP a credible governing party again, not to say “well we aren’t as bad as the other guys”.

Of late, both parties have been equally bad and this add proves that the GOP still has no new ideas.

It really is time for a 3rd party or America is doomed. Start learning Chinese - Ni Hau

Community Reinvestment Act

Having worked at a bank, I am well aware of the CRA. Would you care to tell us all just how much money was lend via this system? Perhaps compare it to the amounts lent by Fannie Mae for us then. To focus on this is absurd. It is a drop in the bucket.

Interesting comment...but you forget that the American people trusted the Dems with power after their disgraceful performance in the '40s, '50s,'60s and '70s. You remember, Dan Rostenkowski and the rest of the corruption that didn't even come close to the Republican incompetence after they gained power.

You worked at a bank? LOL.

First, the CRA was not a "system" to lend money, it was a regulatory scheme. Second, Fannie Mae does not loan money, Fannie Mae purchases and securitizes mortgages. Fannie Mae did enforce the CRA to the extent that it would not purchase mortgages unless a certain portion of them were made under CRA guidelines. Also, "lent" is not a word unless you were referring to the 40 days after Ash Wednesday.

If you are really that ignorant of the influence government regulation and the CRA had on the sub-prime mortgage mess, maybe it's just as well your banking days are in the past.

The pendulum will swing back the other way, especially if the Democrats blow it as badly as it looks like they’re going to. I don’t see how “taking responsibility for mistakes” does anything but drag the past into the present. That’s the kind of advice you give to your enemies. Third parties don’t work in America. It’s fun to say we’re doomed but we both know we’re not doomed. America will continue to be the Alpha Wolf until the day God establishes his kingdom on Earth. That bugs you, of course, but so be it.
