BOSTON -- Political blogs are abuzz with a rumor that former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is moving to Rhode Island.

The rumor was first reported Saturday by the Anchorage Daily News, which said the gossip is that Palin has “finally decided” what she is going to do with the rest of her life. Her plan, the column said, is to settle “in Rhode Island with $7 million from her book and a contract with FOX.”

That sounds delicious. We’re going to Newport tomorrow, sounds like we’ll have to make a side trip there!

Thanks - The Red Parrot in Newport has become boring.

Maybe I’m missing something, but why would she leave Alaska, which she loves, to move to a place like Rhode Island?

It's a rumor and almost certainly false.

But if it were true, the only reason to make a move like that would be for political advantage of some sort, which would be pretty squalid.

I love Newport! We were there for a few days just recently. This place is good, too:

Nice.

I don’t know much about women’s bags other than hearing: “I like this one!”

We had lunch. The lobster bisque and lobster salad sandwich are very good.

I don't think Sarah will move from Alaska. I think she will blog and post on face book, and maybe twitter, and throw her weight behind candidates but, and I hate to say this, I think she is never going to run for office again. I think it put a serious strain on her personal life and she just wants to fight the liberals in her own way and stay out of an actual political office. I think she thinks, and she is probably correct, that she can do more damage as a civilian.

I want her to run for President, but I think she was truly flattened by the liberals vicious attacks on her children. Had it not been for that I think she would be out campaigning right now. I think she resigned for the reasons she gave, but I think there was more to it than that, I think part of it was the way her children, especially Trig, were being smeared by the left wing monsters that call themselves liberals.

I do believe she will be more active as time goes on, she has already delivered some devastating body blows to Bozo and his health care and the Brazilian oil boondoggle, and I think she can really make a difference and swing some opinions.

It is a mild august here in CA. We are getting, for most days, temps in the low to mid 90s. This time of year we are usually having 106-110 degree days. Low humidity means that 90 is not so bad. This has been one of the coolest summers I can remember since I was a child(a long time ago). In July we even had a couple days that were in the mid 70s, almost unheard of.

RI is so PC-liberal, they would vote for King Kong if he was the liberal candidate.

If you said something like——”Gee, that candidate was kinda hairy”........a Rl’lander would look at un-PC you like you crawled out from under a rock.
