Would you say that a person whose heart and mindset is either actively or passively in support of homosexuality is in need of repentance?

My answer would be YES.

And I would add that we are ALWAYS in need of repentance from other forms of sin ( homosexuality being but one of them ).

Do you think it is tolerable for any Christian to be actively or passively in support of the homosexual lifestyle or the homosexual movement?

The answer is NO. Hut I wonder why you ask this question since I never so much in my post said that homosexual acts are not sinful.

In this day of the promotion of sexual perversion, should a Christian be actively opposed to the the modern movement to promote the sin of homosexuality?

YES.

Is the abomination of homosexuality something that should be kept on the back burner in someone's heart or should it be completely forsaken and opposed as a gross and disgusting abomination?

It should be forsaken. However that does not mean that there are people who are Christians who do not struggle with it. Just as there are Christians who struggle with all sorts of other sins ( e.g. pride, self-righteousness, etc.). We all sin even after we believe, and we are daily in need of God's strength.

Thank You! To reason with the unknowing .. it is a lost cause. Scripture is very clear, and it is not our place to force one to believe, that is the H.S., our job is to point themto truth through scripture.

And in your posting you have done that well. God bless.

But this article is about Homosexuals, isn't it?

Yes it is -- but is is also about the church. As I said, we tend to frown upon one form of sin and ignore the others which a lot of us are guilty of either by commission or omission. Why is that ?

Someone who identifies themselves with a certain sin, especially with a sin that God calls an abomination, should never be in a leadership role of any sort.

Anyone who continues to identify with such grevious sin, though not presently acting upon their identifying urges, has not matured enough in the Lord to bring their thoughts under control.

Their failure to completely forsake and truthfully loathe such a sin against nature reveals that they have a very deep and serious spiritual problem.

Any leadership role is out of the question for someone who still thinks of themselves as a homosexual.

You have done a very good job of not answering my question. I asked you a simple question --- DO YOU GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL NOT SIN EVER ?

Since you are freed from sin as you said, your answer has to be YES.

No my friend, you totally ignored my answer.

It is a daily choice on my part to either continue to rely on Jesus for my salvation and strength against sin, or to give into the daily temptations that present themselves.

There is no guarantee that I won't fail in the future by walking away from my faith. It is not my plan, it is not my desire, and I do not intend on walking away from my faith, but the test will run until I face death as it will with every Christian.

The only power we have in this life is the power to CHOOSE to believe God and through that faith, God provides everything else.

I have not ignored the others, but I have also explained in my prior post, quoting the relevant scriptures in Romans Chapter 1, why this sin sticks out so much.

Re-read the post and Romans chapter 1, it is self-explanatory.

SAF,

You are missing out on the real Power of salvation if you are struggling with sin, either of commission or ommission.

I've provided you with the relevant scriptures, Jesus stands at the door of your heart knocking, willing and able to give you deliverence from your sin.

John 3:16-21

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
