WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Trent Franks, R-Arizona, told a townhall meeting in Kingman yesterday he is considering a lawsuit to establish Barack Obama's eligibility for the presidency.
Franks said there is conflicting evidence on the question of Obama's status as a "natural born citizen."
His allusion to the possibility of a lawsuit forcing release of Obama's original, long-form birth certificate is as far as any member of Congress has gone on this issue.
The eligibility issue was one of the hottest topics at the town hall meeting that included concerns about national defense, stimulus spending, health-care bills and the "cash-for-clunkers" program.
Franks said it would take 34,000 years to pay off the indebtedness incurred by the Obama administration.
Some 950 people attended the boisterous event in a local church.

If Barky were legit...he would have put this issue to rest a long time ago!
Any victory of this lawsuit would be appealed, ultimately to the Supreme Court.
The would be the same Supreme Court, which met with BO while an eligibility case was pending (before the inauguration) and which now also includes BO’s personally-selected appointee Sotomayor.
If the Supreme Court has to recuse itself, who can rule on this cases’ merits?
Will Rep Franks be the next body found in Ft. Marcy Park?
How odd is this whole thing. Why in the world would he just not produce the damn thing?

He is IN NO SENSE a “natural born American”
His father WAS NOT an American Citizen.
NUMEROUS references from the days of the founding fathers make it clear a “natural born citizen” is a person who was born on American soil, and whose parents are BOTH AMERICAN CITIZENS!!!
I don’t understand how so many can not understand the difference between “native born” and “natural born”
The question they should be asking is not “where is his birth certificate ?” since the issue is not is he a “native born citizen” .
The question they should be asking is “Since his father is was not an American could he be a natural born citizen ? “
The should be asking to see proof of his fathers citizenship at the time of his birth.
I don’t believe his is releasing his birth certificate for the sole purpose of making it a red herring .

10. Medical records (only the one page summary released so far)
11. Occidental College Transcripts
12. Parent’s marriage Certificate
13. Record of baptism
14. Selective Service registration records
15. Schedules for trips outside of the United States before 2007
16. Scholarly articles
17. Access to his grandmother (now passed away)
18. List of all campaign workers that are lobbyists
19. Punahou grade school records
How many people has Obama neutralized to stay in power? He went to Pepperdine and Columbia as well as law school. None of his classmates have surfaced. No frat brothers? No law school friends? What about high school and elementary school friends. Could they all have been neutralized?
Because they don't want to.
This guy and his family better have thick skin, the “he’s a nut” attacks will be merciless.
