Heard this AM on the Michael Graham show, WTKK. Haven't seen posted elsewhere.
Obama and his lovely bride have created a Romulan Neutral Zone around themselves while on "Marxist Vineyard." Accordingly, as tourists tried to get within eyesight of the Obamas and their girls having hamburgers at a restaurant, the Secret Service confiscated all cell phones and cameras from everyone in and near the restaurant so that The Royal Couple was not disturbed by the riff raff on the Island. Further, the cook at the restaurant -- some sort of minor celebrity -- had to make the hamburgers, fries, and milkshakes while three Secret Service agents watched him to ensure no poisoning was attempted. Further, The Royal One ordered his hamburger medium-well, immediately infuriating the Hollywood elites there who insist that no burger be cooked more than medium-rare (legislation pending in Boston). If I hadn't heard it from Graham himself, I wouldn't have believed it.
Jamming phones in the United States is illegal. Even if it was legal, it would be hard to jam an area that is moving (wherever the POTUS is).
The operation of transmitters designed to jam or block wireless communications is a violation of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended ("Act"). See 47 U.S.C. Sections 301, 302a, 333. The Act prohibits any person from willfully or maliciously interfering with the radio communications of any station licensed or authorized under the Act or operated by the U.S. government. 47 U.S.C. Section 333. The manufacture, importation, sale or offer for sale, including advertising, of devices designed to block or jam wireless transmissions is prohibited. 47 U.S.C. Section 302a(b). Parties in violation of these provisions may be subject to the penalties set out in 47 U.S.C. Sections 501-510. Fines for a first offense can range as high as $11,000 for each violation or imprisonment for up to one year, and the device used may also be seized and forfeited to the U.S. government.

Additionally, the POTUS & the Secret Service constantly need to use their own phones, so they can't risk jamming them.
This has nothing to do with protecting the president from harm. It is all about protecting Zero and Michelle’s IMAGE.
This is at least the second time this has happened at a hamburger joint. They want no images of Zero and the missus chowing down on giant fatty cheeseburgers because they want to tell us all we shouldn’t eat what they eat.
The second is Michelle was photographed having a “bad hair day” at a restaurant during the campaign and that photo continues to haunt her.
If they don’t want to be photographed eating cheeseburgers in public they should eat in at the $50,000 ranch. I hope someone sues the SS over this.

This, I don’t understand. They take their personal chef everywhere they go. What the hell is this chef getting paid to do? (With our tax dollars.)
In a pinch, even a SS agent must know how to fire up a grill and do burgers and dogs.
I know that Obama and the Fatass Wife do these things just to show off; screw things up for those rich Whitey’s on Martha’s; and flaunt their power over the people.
God forgive me, but I really hate those two.

im in food service - catering - your dad sounds very wise. Rare meat is interestingly reasonably safe as the interior is somewhat sterile, providing it is solid and not ground. Im forever sterilzing my surfaces and changing gloves
Of course that is possible, but hypothetically why would those that plant a bomb not be near the place to detonate it? Kind of hard to know when to detonate something when ya can't even see it, unless ya already have people on the ground in the area, which would defeat the purpose of having someone detonate it 10,000 miles away...lol

Obama's SS agents are thoroughly uuprofessional compared to those of terms past. You can read their thoughts on their faces.And their loyalty is to Obama personally, not to the country they are supposed to serve.Thats an accident waiting to happen.

If our crappy president and his thug “protectors” don’t want to be photographed, then stay on the grounds of the $30 million estate. Don’t harass and intimidate the citizens that YOU are supposed to serve.
Besides, some cell phones don’t have the camera feature....mine doesn’t.

The bacteria we're concerned about comes from bad handling practices, so it isn't in the meat, it's on the surface of the meat. Sear the surface, kill the bacteria, and the meat should be fine at that point.
Is that leagal? I know there’s an oppressive anti camera law in the U.K. but here in the States? Any Law Geeks online got the skinny?
Unless they have probable cause to believe that the person was going to use the cellphone to injure 0bama, this is an unlawful search and seizure and a taking of property by the gov’t w/o due process all in violation of the person’s constitutional rights. I hope they file lawsuits.

Your justification makes sense. What doesn't, however, is the conficscation of "white" tourists/riff raff cellphones. Muzzies would never detonate any remote bomb when the muzzy leader of the world might be in the area!
Do you go through due process when they take your toothpaste, your bottle of Pepsi and your nail clippers at the airport? You don't even get those back. At least the Secret Service returns your phone.
How about at city/county/state/federal buildinga in municipalities throughout the nation when you're searched before entering? Did you have due process then?
