Heard this AM on the Michael Graham show, WTKK. Haven't seen posted elsewhere.
Obama and his lovely bride have created a Romulan Neutral Zone around themselves while on "Marxist Vineyard." Accordingly, as tourists tried to get within eyesight of the Obamas and their girls having hamburgers at a restaurant, the Secret Service confiscated all cell phones and cameras from everyone in and near the restaurant so that The Royal Couple was not disturbed by the riff raff on the Island. Further, the cook at the restaurant -- some sort of minor celebrity -- had to make the hamburgers, fries, and milkshakes while three Secret Service agents watched him to ensure no poisoning was attempted. Further, The Royal One ordered his hamburger medium-well, immediately infuriating the Hollywood elites there who insist that no burger be cooked more than medium-rare (legislation pending in Boston). If I hadn't heard it from Graham himself, I wouldn't have believed it.
Was he breaking his Ramadan fast, or was this after sunset?
True, but to watch the book to make sure he doesn’t poison the president....a little extreme.
I feel for the SS - having to protect these cretins who have zero respect for the office Obama now holds - bring on 2012 - we need someone respectable back in the WH.
Ummm... a few things about this just don’t “wash”, IMHO. Especially the following:
“Further, The Royal One ordered his hamburger medium-well, immediately infuriating the Hollywood elites there who insist that no burger be cooked more than medium-rare (legislation pending in Boston). If I hadn’t heard it from Graham himself, I wouldn’t have believed it.”
I haven’t looked up the actual pending legislation, but I would think it’s the opposite of what you have here. That he ordered the burger medium-rare, and the pending legislation is to force restaurants to cook all meat at least medium-well. The reason for this would be to make sure the inside temp. met requirements for food safety purposes (avoiding bacterial food poisoning, etc... bacteria that is destroyed at high temps.). Just for the record, I prefer my meat medium-rare, so the pending legislation would definitely tick me off were I a Bostonian.
Also, you state that the phones were confiscated, and cameras as well? Were they placed somewhere so the tourists could pick them up after their meals, or were they taken and the people were not allowed to take them back? I mean that’s theft, frankly. And, if that’s the protocol then Obama and his family shouldn’t be so incredibly rude as to eat in public places then. Those phones and cameras are expensive.
Here is the only Democrat President who was worth a damm
You’ve got to love the good old days....................
Harry Truman was a different kind of President. He probably made as many important decisions regarding our nation’s history as any of the other 42 Presidents. However, a measure of his greatness may rest on what he did after he left the White House.
The only asset he had when he died was the house he lived in, which was in Independence Missouri. His wife had inherited the house from her mother and other than their years in the White House, they lived their entire lives there.
When he retired from office in 1952, his income was a U.S. Army pension reported to have been $13,507.72 a year. Congress, noting that he was paying for his stamps and personally licking them, granted him an “allowance” and, later, a retroactive pension of $25,000 per year.
After President Eisenhower was inaugurated, Harry and Bess drove home to Missouri by themselves. There were no Secret Service following them.
When offered corporate positions at large salaries, he declined, stating, “You don’t want me. You want the office of the President, and that doesn’t belong to me. It belongs to the American people and it’s not for sale.”
Even later, on May 6, 1971, when Congress was preparing to award him the Medal of Honor on his 87th birthday, he refused to accept it, writing, “I don’t consider that I have done anything which should be the reason for any award, Congressional or otherwise.”
As president he paid for all of his own travel expenses and food.
Modern politicians have found a new level of success in cashing in on the Presidency, resulting in untold wealth. Today, many in Congress also have found a way to become quite wealthy while enjoying the fruits of their offices. Political offices are now for sale.
Good old Harry Truman was correct when he observed, “My choices in life were either to be a piano player in a whore house or a politician. And to tell the truth, there’s hardly any difference!
I say dig him up and clone him!!

Is that legal? Confiscating cell phones.
click.......bang?
So can just about anything else, like the small vehicle keyless entry button, to a tiny remote control garage door opener, and other even simpler remote devises.
I would guess eventually they'll just have to keep the unwashed tax payers away from the politicians, for safety reasons of course.
A cell phone can make a call from Argentina and detonate something. It really doesn't matter where the calling phone is located. What counts is what it is calling into.
Dubious but who is going to challenge the SS? I would tell SS I'm leaving the area with my camera.
While pushing for taxes on "junk" food so we can all get as skinny as Bozo. I don't think we are going to have to worry about being fat in a few years, they are cutting off the water to California farms and probably will tax the other states farms out of existence. No food, no fat people. The Bozo, however, will fly his beef in from Japan and probably have Pizzas flown in from Italy!
Prudent, I suppose. It is interesting to remember that past despots used food tasters. Our current would be dear leader seems a bit paranoid. Remember the post yesterday about how they've instituted a 40 mile no-fly zone around the Martha's Vineyard vacation area, whereas GWB's were 3 to 10 miles?
“and his lovely bride”
Barf...
ROTFLMAOCOPTERZ!!
He's not worried about detonations, he is worried about having his "wittle picture taken". This is the same sh** MO did a few weeks ago in a restaurant when patrons tried to take her and the daughter's pictures. It is all for show and to make sure people know who the king is.
