With schools set to open again in coming weeks and flu season just around the corner, the White House released the findings of a new report Monday on the H1N1 virus, saying the current strain "poses a serious health threat to the nation."

According to the report, officials don't believe the strain will turn into a deadly flu pandemic similar to the one in 1918-19, but that it could infect more people than usual because many people are not immune to it. It estimated that 1.8 million people could be hospitalized from the infection.

Obama doing exactly what the Dems accused BUSH of doing. Scare the people. Use the fear generated to take away people's rights. In this case, the only thing that can 'save' the people will be the gov't, through their control of the health care system in the US.

Very transparent, but the MSM will dutifully play along and parrot the Messiah's prescription for 'saving' us from swine flu.

This would make it 2-3 times as deadly as a regular flu season, and many of those deaths will probably be due to a secondary pneumonia.

Oh Please with all this hype. I had it and my son had it. It’s like the regular flu. It stinks but in about 2 1/2 - 3 days your are on the mend.

The swine flu, like most others, isn’t deadly except to the very young and old and those with chronic disease. This scare tactic is a scam. They have managed to turn “flu” into a fearful tool to manipulate the masses.
AMA released a report that this hoax is a money maker for Pharma.

There is something suspicious about this swine flu.
I can’t put my finger on it. But several months before any cases were reported I was thinking about swine flu and swine flu vaccinations. Now I am wondering what I read that made me think it wouldn’t be surprising if the swine flu was to reimerge as a threat.

I was sick for a couple days this spring when it was raging in Milwaukee so I may have had it as well. Never went to the Dr because felt like mild case of flu. I survived russian flu in the 90’s so I think I can make it through this as well.

It won't be his 9/11. It won't give him a bump in the polls.

The reason it won't is because he and Sebelius mislead the country for months. HHS said repeatedly there would be enough vaccine. There won't. Not nearly enough.

All stats are now showing that if there is no change, we are facing the worst flu in over 50 years. And, in the midst of the worst of it, America will be rationing vaccine. Just incredible.

My mom swears she is getting the vaccine. I swear she is not. They’re going to whip the old people into a frenzy, then they’ll tell stories of shortages of vaccine because they’re all going to be lining up for this thing.

I’m just terrified of the vaccine itself.

I had it first, then my son (12yrs) went to the Dr. for test and Tamaflu, his symptoms were much less than mine after taking the meds.

So for all you out there, based on my experience with this, when you get symptoms, tell your Dr you want Tamaflu.

I haven’t had a flu shot in 15 years. I don’t plan on getting one this year either. I jokingly told my wife that I’ve been trying to catch the early version of swine flu to get some immunity that way.
