And so history repeats itself once again. Good post.

I’m glad our nation’s founders were avid students of history. If they’d found history as boring as Americans today do, they’d have bequeathed to us as crappy a nation as we’re bequeathing to our kids and grandkids. And we would today be cursing them for their selfish laziness and treachery, just as generations to come will curse us for ours.

After reading so much of these esteemed authors, I sit back and imagine the events that brought them to the surface. If they were going to revolt, they had to have a plan for the post revolution days. There was no sense in fighting for a state or anarchy.

They unified for a couple of important projects, but afterwards seemed to spin off toward different causes and principles.

Thank God they held together for as long as they did.
