One audience member asked the former Presidential contender if President Obama didn't realize that some of the changes he's calling for goes against the Constitution. Sen. McCain responded that he's sure the president respects the Constitution. Some town hall attendees booed the senator's response. McCain added tried to hush the boos, reminding the room that the president of the United States is owed respect. "I'm sure that he respects the Constitution of the United States. I really do. I'm absolutely convinced of it," Sen. McCain said.

I just received my email from Cindy McCain offering me the opportunity to sign John’s birthday card, and donate if I choose.
Too bad I can’t say what I want to say to my Senator.
I won’t be signing or donating. Last time my Senator acted like a Conservative is when he picked Palin.

Amen. He was interviewed long before he had aspirations for the presidency, and confessed then that the Warren [Supreme]court had not been “radical enough,” that he objected to the “negative liberties” in the constitution (which he quite correctly perceived, the expression of what the government is NOT allowed to do) and than expressed a desire that a more “redisributive” approach should be used in the way the Constitution should be interpreted. In fact, he understands the Constitution as Bill Ayers does, They don’t want to merely tweak it here and there. They wants to scrap it and reconstruct it in their own image. In the fifties this guy would have been impeached for holding views like this.
I was at one of this asswipe’s campaign rallies just before the election. Instead of rallying the troops to push forward to victory, he kept saying things like ‘I know we can work with Obama’. ‘We can work with the democrats in Congress..’
People who should have been there to cheer on their candidate was instead treated to pacifist crap like that. McQueeg heard plenty of boos that day.
I’m sorry I ever cast a vote for that moron.
McCain added tried to hush the boos, reminding the room that the president of the United States is owed respect.
This coming from a man who never missed a chance to poke President Bush in the eye at just the right moment.
“I’m sure that he respects the Constitution of the United States. I really do. I’m absolutely convinced of it,” Sen. McCain said.
Of course John. We’ve always had 25+ “Czars” in every administration to date.
That really helped didn't it?
I am from AZ, do not like McCain either (hard to get him out of office). So far I have seen no candidate that could beat him in the next election.
Why we need to get rid of RINOs. A Republican party full of genuine conservatives is exactly what is needed.
President Obama...doesn't respect me, or my beliefs. Why should I respect him?
The office...okay. But not him..
Yeah, Rahm I'm a racist for saying it!!
He understands it... He just doesn’t agree with it.
I watched some of this town hall this afternoon. The people asking questions were top notch. I was proud of my fellow Americans. McCain? Not so much....
Look for the GOP to decide it's McCain's "turn" again to be the nominee just to be certain to seal their fate and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
0bama thinks the Constitution is a barrier to the glorious vision he has for the country. I shudder to think what his vision includes.
"Last time my Senator acted like a Conservative is when he picked Palin."
That was no move inspired by conservative principles, but a calculated "hail Mary" to save his own ass. He was able to pull in a bunch of voters who would never, ever, have voted for him.
The “Great Unwashed” GET IT!
The DCers don’t.
What the “F” Would McLame know about the Constitution? HE doesn’t have a clue about it himself.
Until the Reagan "reformed" of Social Security in 1984, SST was much smaller than it is today. People that have retired in the last 15 years and collect past age 75... Social Security is a darn good annuity payment. For Gen Xer's and late baby boomers, they are screwed. I'm screwed and not even counting on SS for my retirement years.
But forget the Math, can anyone deny the Social Security is grossly unconstitutional to begin with? Is this statement stupid? Am I smoking something? Tell me how/where the congress has the power compulsory to make its citizens contribute to a retirement system that the citizen has NO property interest in and I will admit to smoking crack and admit my ignorance on constitutional matters.
Now let's discuss Medicare. Medicare from its beginning has been nothing more than a huge wealth transfer. The Great Society framers made no bones about this fact. Then to make matters worse, a financially broke system increased benefits in 2004 with Medicare Part D. This benefit was demanded by the elderly and the GOP caved in so Bush could win Florida in 2004. Medicare/Medicaid has already "socialized" half of the entire US health system. Now the retirees in this country seem to be worried about the constitution when their hand out will be cut by $500 billion. Again, explain to me how medicare is constitutional and how the elderly seem to now how religion about constitutional constructionalism.
