If we got control there, there's no reason we couldn't squeeze a 10R-3D majority out of it (leaving the Justice Dept. mandated 1st and 12th, and the 4th for the moonbat Chapel Hill/Research Triangle for the rodents).

You may be right on 10, but probably only in terms of being R+ and not actually voting for Republicans for US House. Likely, some of the Dems would end up even more entrenched a s a result. Just far, far too many liberals in the upper Piedmont combined with black Dems in Charlotte and allegedly 'conservative' gimmie-gimmies out east and to some extent the SW. The 13th could be changed around, so that it doesn't do those ridiculous grabs into Greensboro and Raleigh and instead swaps those with, say, the 6th...

But then there is the problem of the added district.

And, I'd consider it a failure to leave the 12th looking anything like it does today, even though changing it would have huge negative effects on Republican districts. A district could be carved out of 2/3 or 1/2 of Mecklenburg Co. (Charlotte) instead and could probably fit the ridiculous race quota, while possibly remaining competitive.

One problem we face is that the districts have to pass muster with Justice. To even have districts whose makeup and lines are being dictated by the federal government based on race IS discriminatory. I’m a Caucasian in a State Senate district in Nashville (TN) that is “ordered” to be majority Black by Justice, and that leaves me without representation (because the Sen. is a Democrat and a moonbat and has never had a GOP opponent). The Dems seem to be able to draw lines with little interference, but we are prevented from having a free hand even when we are in charge. Why shouldn’t Caucasians in these sorts of districts not rise up and sue the federal gov’t for discrimination ?
