Have to disagree, a marriage that never happened means the offspring are bastards..Especially if the first marriage was declared null and void. Check out the dictionary definition of a bastard. Off spring of one never married...annulment is voiding a marriage. Offspring not legit.

I already know the definition and also know the history of the Catholic Church. Maybe you should read up more on them? You’re the one that appears to be confused with the “bastards” thing.

“Bastard” is a legal category, not a church one. A church annulment has no effect on the legal status of children.
