“The media clamored with questions: Why had Kopechne left her purse and room key at the cottage and told no one she was going home? How did Kennedy get lost on a one-turn trip to the ferry? Was the ferry operating when Kennedy and Kopechne left?”

CNN has a lot of cheek even suggesting that the would ask questions like this today. The way they did with Clinton 15 years ago.

If this happened last week, the media would scream in unison that any criticism of the liberal perpetrator is just a distraction to impede “the real business of government”. CNN would be the first to denounce anyone bringing the subject up as a “bridger”.

Not only that, but there are ONLY two so-called experts in this BS article.

“experts said. “

• Christopher Arterton, dean of George Washington University’s graduate school of political management.
AND
• Jim Baughman, author of “The Republic of Mass Culture: Journalism, Filmmaking, and Broadcasting in America since 1941”

Whenever I think of experts, Arterton and Baughman always come to the top of my list. Don’t they on yours?

Arterton’s statement: “The people of Massachusetts were prepared to forgive a lot of transgressions.” is right today.

They have elected and relected not only Kennedy but Kerry.
And don’t forget Barney Frank, the sexual experimentalist. The common thread is liberal Democrat and Massachusetts.

I’ve never been able to get past Chappaquiddick. Even though I was a Dem at the time, Chappaquiddick made me look at Ted Kennedy as someone who should have resigned in disgrace and spent the rest of his life atoning. Instead he became the “lion of the senate” and inflicted further harm on the rest of America. Kennedy’s liberal politics killed more people than just Mary Jo Kopechne. His whole public career was a nightmare for America.

LIFE Magazine for one laid it all out at the time - photos, timeline of Teddy’s actions etc. and he still skated.

They didn't even autopsy back then. Technology has nothing to do with it.. They don't even know if she was pregnant because the Kennedy's ... Law enforcement, and the state wouldn't...I say again ---->WOULDN'T<---- do an autopsy because of political pressure.

It would be no different today. You're watching too much CSI... Kennedy's DNA was probable all over her.. He could have hit her and knocked her unconscious for that matter. Liberalism is as corrupt today as it was in the 1960's.

Massachusetts is a cesspool of corruption inhabited by a majority of enabling imbeciles

CNN is lying outright.

CNN and MSNBC and all the networks would have burried the story.

In fact in the era of media control consultants the police would have been threatened the story burried and the family threatened.

How many WEEKS did it take to get out the fact of Obmaa’s racist church?

How much COVER does the MSM give the Obama czars?

In the era of spin control, the MSM would never have allowed the name kennedy to appear anywhere.

and CNN would have been utterly complicit. Any leaks would have been ridiculed and unsubstantiated kookery.

if anyone needs any proof, just look at the left wing whoring with kennedy’s still warm corpse.

I suspect if it happened in 2009, the media circus focus would be on inadequate road lighting, a bridge that wasnt up to code, and a defective steering mechanism in the car.

You know- the usual ambulance chaser points to divert attention from the actual proximate cause of the accident.
