They get their knickers in a knot over one guy with a medium sized gun, cripes their heads would spin and they’d crap their drawers if say, 30,000 patriots really started shooting!!

Seattle Police shut down a four block area of downtown Seattle for hours because some nut was standing on the sidewalk with a sword threatening anyone who came close. Dozens of officers converge on the scene but are told to wait him out.
Can you imagine it if this turns out to be a 33yr old white male w/a BB gun? I wonder if there was really 2 suspects to begin with..
Sounds like they have a suspect cornered somewhere right near the freeway.
Uh-oh. I’ve been hearing more than I want to know about other happenings there by listening to live radio.

SNIPPET: “Officers are still looking for the person or persons responsible for the shots. Seattle Police responded to the area, assisted by the Washington State Patrol. The King County Guardian One helicopter also is monitoring the area.
Both directions of Interstate 5 and several side streets near the college have been shut down.”
Given that we're talking about an area no more than an underhanded softball lob away from where I'm seated right now, I can't honestly say I mind the concern on their part. ;)

Doubt it. “A drunk” is probably a better description.
No matter what, he deserves to get his ears boxed damn good for pulling a stunt like this in an urban setting.

I was thinking earlier that I’d have my own gun handy from behind my locked doors, and staying away from the windows, if I was in that area - just in case someone was looking for a place to hide from police.
Northgate Mall is a mere two blocks over. Hope all the late shift employees managed to get out and safely roadbound before the shutdowns started happening.
And avoid outside walls...

Thing that gets me is that at the beginning, here’s all these cops standing around their vehicles and walking around WITHOUT HELMETS OR APPARENT BODY ARMOR
