Iam no expert on this despite my husband having to go through this annulment procedure, but his final decree came from the Vatican. So perhaps what happens is the Church courts take the testimony under oath as was in our case along with witnesses etc, and then the review is done at the Holy See where the final decree is granted. Maybe one more educated in this procedure and regulations could enlighten us. I too read where Joe’s annulment was overturned.

What happens in the case where the person who initiated the divorce meets someone and wants to remarry? Do they not have the right to petition for annulment?

“Well Michael J Fox is young and has PD.”

Yes, young people get PD but Clinton said he was tested for PD and it turned out negative. He claims his doctor told him that his shaking/tremor was “a sign of aging.” If it’s only an aging tremor, Clinton is awfully young for that. I don’t know ANY 63 year olds who have ‘aging tremors.’

“This is a typical Democrat event, running way behind schedule. Unlike Republicans, who are lickety split.
Maybe they just lack the soul of this crowd.”

Wouldn’t it be nice if the Spitter’s brain (such as it may be) and his mouth were ever engaged? What a stupid thing to say.

Yes it was and carried out right on schedule.Word was the Kennedy’s dawdled so as to greet the people in Masstwochits who lined the roadways..so the service in DC was more than 2 hours late. Pity the poor military guys who had to stand in those dress uniforms in that heat!

I just don’t think you can put all of those egos on the field and make it work, Real Madrid still gave up two goals. In soccer, you’re only as good as your weakest link, and for all of their firepower up front, if their defense is that porous, it won’t matter.

Barcelona on the other hand is a team, that plays well together, and that’s why I still think they will prevail over RM.

Another team to watch out for is Inter, totally dismantled their cross-town rivals AC Milan.

Champions League group stage starts in a few week, should be fun.

(as Mark Steyn says below, we all need forgiveness for letting Kennedy get away with it for all these years)

“Ted Kennedy went a different route. He got kitted out with a neck brace and went on TV and announced the invention of the ‘Kennedy curse,’ a concept that yoked him to his murdered brothers as a fellow victim — and not, as Mary Jo perhaps realized in those final hours, the perpetrator. He dared us to call his bluff, and, when we didn’t, he made all of us complicit in what he’d done. We are all prey to human frailty, but few of us get to inflict ours on an entire nation…

The senator’s actions in the hours and days after emerging from that pond tell us something ugly about Kennedy the man. That he got away with it tells us something ugly about American public life.”

" have never seen anyone buried in the dark in all my life"

Up to this point the only other burial in Arlington to take place at night was that of Robert F. Kennedy. His mass took place in New York and then his body and a great number of the funeral participants boarded a slow moving train to Washington, and then ther was a motorcade to Arlington. I watched the whole thing on television and remember thinking that they would never get there in daylight. If I remember correctly there was an accident along the way and that slowed things down even more.

I found a reference to the accident in the following account of the funeral train trip.

"The trip from New York to Washington, normally about four hours, took twice as long. Two bystanders who had jumped on the tracks in Elizabeth, New Jersey, were killed by a train passing in the other direction. The food ran out, the water ran out; finally, the liquor ran out. The thousand or so passengers stumbled off the train at Washington's Union Station shortly after 9 p.m., to the booming drums of the Navy Band."

Good point. They especially miss Pepe and he’s got four more games to sit out.
