A word of advice to liberals who wish to pay tribute to Ted Kennedy: don't mention his name in the same sentence as the word "bridge" since it will undermine whatever else you wrote. Unfortunately for Alec Baldwin, that is exactly what he did in his Huffington Post tribute to the deceased senator:
Don't name a bridge after Ted.
Yes, Baldwin did write a lot more about Ted Kennedy in his tribute but that one sentence alone pretty much overwhelms whatever else he wrote. However, to be fair to Alec, let us look at some of the rest of his tribute which almost everyone will forget because of his incredibly poor choice of words above:

TOPICS: Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS: alecbaldwin; baldwin; bridge; kennedy; tedkennedy
Too late to take it back, Alec. Obviously he didn't have an editor carefully check the wording his tribute.

Democrat liberals are so desperate for political influence (ironic, isn’t it) that they will forgive, ignore and suppress evidence of clear signs of malfeasance and criminality in their heroes.
The democrat party is now largely populated by hopeless, criminally inclined people whose only high purpose is acquiring raw power.
America is too good for them.

Hello from the "arrogant, controlling scold."LOL, sorry. Perhaps I'm misreading what you said. Do you think that Alec used an "incredibly poor choice of words".
To: dfwgator
“You are worthless Arec Baldwin...”
I thought the bridge comment was remarkably insightful in a Freudian-slip kind of way. The comment that told me all I need to know about Baldwin’s political savvy was this:
“Barney Frank is, perhaps, one of the best examples of what a great legislator is today.”
In the words of Barney Frank: “Alec, on what planet having YOU been living?”

The good news is Alec is considering running for office.
That would help the Dems since they are now short one buffoon.
It would also help the Repubs, we would never be short of Anti-Lib material.

I thought a fitting tribute would be similar to a burial at sea but throw the body off the Bridge at Chappaquiddick.

Do you think that Alec used an "incredibly poor choice of words". If his purpose was to pay tribute to Ted Kennedy...yes.

Do you think that Alec used an "incredibly poor choice of words". If his purpose was to pay tribute to Ted Kennedy...yes.
If his purpose was to pay tribute to a political statist, while at the same time to remind everybody how Kennedy killed Mary Jo, then I would say...no.
To: PJ-Comix
Don't name a bridge after Ted.OK. Let's name some legislation after him.

To: PJ-Comix
I’ll admit that I have studiously avoided the “Teddy the Swimmer Memorial Traveling Magic Show” as much as possible, but insofar as it appears impossible without pharmaceutical interaction, I have caught a few bits.
It amuses me no end to see the desperate contortions that the left has had to go through in order to find anything nice to say about him. He was a smug, arrogant, manipulating a-hole (and those were his positive attributes) and everyone knew it.
His final acts are as phony and contrived as everything else about him.
Arec can make all the Freudian slips he wants because the left can only see what they want to see.
