A drop of 13% or so in this economic environment is actually quite a success story compared to the 30%+ drop in the value of the other retailers stock.
Neither store is motivated by politics in the sense they would favor left over Right or vice versa. They are bottom line oriented and do what they believe they must do to attract and hold as large a customer base as they can.
In fact this is precisely what people should do. Those that do not will have their words looked upon as empty and are themselves see as whiners. Any serious employee should have an up to date resume and if unhappy where they are should quietly look to make a move. It may take time but it can be done, Those that makes a life's project whining about the boss, the working conditions, the pay, etc have been around forever and get no respect from me.
I am an advocate for Free Enterprise, but I do believe in treating people with dignity. Some companies treat their employees as if they are their slaves, and thanks to the Dems people do not have the choices they once had.
If an individual feels they are being treated unfairly they should absent themselves from their surroundings and move on. Failure to do so and continued complaining is inexcusable, in my view and constitutes nothing less then whining.
I’m certainly no fan of the democrats but to blame them when the people have the right to throw the creeps out also makes no sense and again is nothing but whining.
No, the Tea Parties are necessary to flush the dirt out into the open.
In what other venue would the existing political hacks of both major parties be stimulated to give timeless quotes like Harry Reid’s comment to the newspaper in Las Vegas?
As a former supplier of private label health and beauty care items to WM, I can tell you we used to sit and laugh everytime there was a new “Roll Back” ad on the TV. The joke was what WM vendor was getting the screws put to them that week. We decided to quit selling to them and they had the audacity to say “but we’re WM”...um, ok but why would we sell to you at a loss? Kudos to my management for having the guts to say no.
As I’ve posted before, if I avoided every store that gets trashed on FR, the only acceptable places to shop would be the St Vincent de Paul Thrift Store and the local church food bank.
LOL, well put.
Expect some talk about “punishing” Wal-Mart for monopoly in the near future. As things get worse, big brother’s going to be looking for scapegoats.
We’re at that level just to save up tons of cash in case high inflation and unemployment hist - build up the emergency fund now. The only “luxury” is one I don’t consider a luxury - private Christian school where the kids learn what they should learn, not Obamanation.
Good for them! I heard a similar story about a company that manufactured grills. WM tried to persuade them to cut corners and make cheaper stuff, but they said “no”.
It is getting difficult to find quality goods any more. Even expensive products seem to be cheaply made. Very sad.
Honestly, I’ve never heard those rumors. I have heard Target called ‘Tarje’ but only by people jokingly trying to make it sound like a high class store.
A lot more hot chicks work at Target,
In my area, homosexuals seem to be the majority, just saying.
