Unbelievable!

A leader, a President, should not put his left wing before decisions of this magnitude.

But then again... he is so low in the polls he has to please his left wing to please himself.

Nuts!

This is why he’s declared war on the CIA...to try and get those moonbats to calm down. Won’t work.

After Obama has declared surrender and pulled us out of Afghanistan will come a backlash against him that will make the furor over Obamacare look mild. America has 20 million vets and family members and they are not timid in their approach to politics.

If Obama & the Left don’t accept that there IS a War on Terror, or that we are in a war with Terrorists, or that we ought to be fighting a War on Terror,

there seems to be little reason to be fighting in Afghanistan.

Now it is not good for the Christian’s health to hustle the Arian Brown,
For the Christian riles, and the Arian smiles, and it weareth the Christian down;
And the end of the fight is a tombstone white with the name of the late deceased,
And the epitath drear:”A fool lies here who tried to Hustle the East.”

They want the money for health care.

Remember when Obama was calling for surrender in Iraq??

Then Zogby comes out with a new poll that his favorability has lurched lower to 42%. This from a Democrat Pollster.

I agree. WMD’s weren't the only reason that the focus of the war was transferred to Iraq once we had Afghanistan somewhat under control.

Yep

For the record, I’m strongly in support of our military. That is why we should never tie their hands behind their backs and then ask them to fight to protect our freedom.

Obama tries to use fear to ram through health care, as he did stimulus, then finds himself deriding republican ‘fear mongering’ tactics. You couldn't write fiction like this.

Prediction:

Obama will announce troop withdrawals going into the 2010 election cycle. He will blame the Bush administration for making such serious errors in Afghanistan that cannot be overcome with military force on the ground and that two party negotiations with the Taliban will commence. This tact will be taken to appeal to the leftist base to shore up support for congressional incumbents and help take away attention from the abysmal economy and failure to get bi-partisan public option healthcare legislation enacted. In the meantime, Shamnesty II will be front and center to (once again)anchor the hispanic vote.

If Obama & the Left don’t accept that there IS a War on Terror, or that we are in a war with Terrorists, or that we ought to be fighting a War on Terror,

The Left argues that "The War On Terror" is an unreasonable term because you can't have a war simply against a tactic. You need a noun not a verb as the subject. But if you say, OK, "War on Terrorists" then they throw out "One man's terrorist is another's Freedom Fighter." If you say "War Against Islamic Extremism" the that is jingoistic. If you say, "War Against Al Qaeda" then it's somewhat OK.

So as far as I can see the term "War Against Al Qaeda & Their Like-Minded Buddies" should presumably be OK but they'll find a way to object.

RE :”Agreed. it is insane. Now they have ticked off the radical Pelosi led marxists”

They are also mad about public option being stuck. They really get mad that feds spend money on war but not on new welfare programs. That is why Obama/Holder is pulling this phony interrogation investigation to distract them, and appease them. Otherwise MSNBC has to do stories every day on Obama’s failure on health care.

I was there during the Carter years. I'm not exxagerating when I say the similarities are striking.

Carter comes in after an unpopular GOP promising change.
Carter was condescending.
When the people realized they got a lemon, there were stories blaming and chastising the American people.
Carter had trouble with his left wing and Blue Dogs.
Although carter did veto a spending bill from his own congress and called it pork barrelled spending but Tip O'Neil and the boys overrode his veto

RE :”All’s MSNBC can do is bash Cheney and talk about Sanford over and over and over.

MSNBC has been talking about the health care reform too. This is where it's worth watching. Progressives Maddow, Schulz and Olbermann are daily calling for Obama to cut off talks with liberal republicans and ram something through pressuring blue dogs, and dems to get 60 Senate votes(Schulz calls them yellow dogs, LOL) . Schulz wanted single payer so he is cheer-leading 'no bill' without public option. (He is on our side oddly enough, we need to support progressives here, they are Obama's headache now)

Mathews on MSNBC Hardball is more pragmatic saying that Obama needs a bill, even without a public option, and admits reconciliation is not an real option. Liberal Lawrence O'Donald also said reconciliation will not work,.

I will watch it for you. I have learned to be careful about depending on conservative sources for all information. For example, many on talk radio like Hannity predicted a big win for NcCain. There is also a tendency to exaggerate the other sides strengths (ability to do things once elected) to motivate us. "Nothing will stop the democrats if McCain loses" was typical. After 8 years of Bush (esp the last 4 of hell) I do not want to be ‘motivated’again.

Sources like MSNBC progressives, and Air America can give you a reliable source for determining where dems are weak(if they admit it, they really are weak) . But yes, you have to be able to listen to endless non-sense. Maddow has been telling liberal listeners that before democrats won, the filibuster was never used in the Senate before. Republicans created it January 2007 LOL.
