Democrats will take to the streets in Stroudsburg and other towns across the country tonight as a way to build public support for the national health care bill.

"It's a candlelight vigil to memorialize the people who have been adversely affected by poor health care policy, or lack thereof, in the United States," said Patrick McDermott. McDermott is a legislative aide to state Sen. Lisa Boscola, D-18, but said he is working the vigil on his own time. "I'm incredibly passionate about the need for health care reform in this county, and I want to lend my voice and efforts to it as much as possible," McDermott said.

Freaking drama queens...no one, and I mean absolutely no one, goes without health care in the US. Every county has clinics that provide services on a sliding scale based on income or for free. Medicaid and Medicare is available for those eligible. There are no people dying in the streets for cripes sake.

I wonder if Mr. McDermott is passionate enough about reform to sign up for government health care if it passes?

If he were to injure himself at a future vigil, he would probably only have to wait a couple of months to receive treatment.

Patrick should bone up on English grammar. What he said, without knowing it, is that they are going to memorialize people who have been adversely affected by either poor health care policy or the lack of poor health care policy.

What the heck? He wants to have it both ways?

Next up, because “millions” are “homeless”. We’ll need to change the way people live in houses. Now, you can stay in the house you live in now, unless you own it. Then, everyone has to move out to the “public option” until they can be reassigned to a new house. Now, it may not be in the same neighborhood, but this is about everyone having the same house. Unless you’re in Congress. Where you can have a 25,000 sq ft house. Since the average house has seven rooms. Multiple families will be able to live together. Think Dr. Zhivago. Of course if your house is a “Clunker”, you’ll have to renovate it before it is suitable to be turned over to the government. The word “Equity” will also be redefined in regards to houses. Re: The “Equity” put into the house through mortgage payments will be transferred to the equity of communal living.

But..but...but...60% of existing insurance companies are ‘non profit’!
Ask these ‘progressives’ how the remaining companies made their profits and you’ll get the most amazing answers!
