I think you’re right.
Presidents have, in the past, visited schools and spoke to students.
I don’t recall a president ever addressing the nation’s schools at the same time.
Anyways - he’s expecting all the classrooms to have access to a television?
Isn’t going to happen.
Some schools might call an assembly - but not many I’m guessing.
The first day is usually tied with fire drills anyway isn’t it?
will the kids who don’t go fail for not doing the work book stuff?
Done and a comment added...;’}
Hail, Infallible Leader. Hail, Dear Leader! Hail, Obama!
My daughter (a teacher) will not allow that crap to be in her classroom.
Kids, I’m not defending Barry...just reporting what Megyn told her guests. Be prepared as this will be the Dem talking point.
>> Kids, Im not defending Barry...
...and I’m not attacking you. Mom. :-)
I became sick on November 4th 2008 ;-)
He has stated he doesn't care if he's a one-termer, which perhaps is the only instance in which his words are validated by his actions.
This attempt to get between parents and their children is yet another political blunder. "Brilliant" my butt.
;)
Oh you had to go there... By far the best band of all time. Forget the beatles and the Stones.. Pink Floyd man! Ok back to the kids... I kinda like the thought of our kids asking questions. You know lets put the teachers on the spot? You know “wheres the BC”, What about harvard transcripts, why does the Pres want to kill grammy? Things like that.. I think that would be a good discusion for my kids. But then again my daughter would get suspended or something and then that would be TROUBLE!
We Don't Need No Socialism
We Don't Need No Thought control
No Obamaism In The Classroom
I suppose we all know what’s going to happen if some future Republican president wants to speak to students in a nationwide address, like Reagan did after the Challenger explosion or Bush, senior, did on drug use.
LOVE it!
Indeed!
It’s not being shown everywhere, thankfully. I was excited to see a district wide email sent to all parents letting us know they will not be showing Obama’s speech. It may be shown to a couple high school social studies classes for discussion, but not school wide. I’m guessing they must have gotten an earful in our conservative area, and decided not to risk so many children being absent. They said they would make the web address available to those who wanted to watch it at home, lol.
Good for her. Neither would my husband.
