The administration of President Barack Obama, whose official blogger while Obama was a candidate came under attack for hanging a Communist Party flag in his Harvard apartment, apparently has given permission to raise the emblem of Communist China over the south lawn of the White House.
The plan, reported by several English-language Chinese media outlets, has raised concern among those who are working to guard the United States from outside influences that could be threats.
According to the Global Times English-language edition, the national flag of the communist People's Republic of China on Sept. 20 will be raised for the first time on the White House's south lawn – a secured area seldom available for public events – in recognition of the Chinese anniversary.
"The ceremony has gotten official approval," Xiao Shuigen, secretary of the Union of Chinese American Professional Organizations, told the Times.
"It was always my dream to raise a Chinese flag in the center of Washington, D.C.," Chen Ronghua, chief of the U.S.-Fujian Association, told the newspaper. "This year, my motherland's 60th birthday, is the perfect time for it."

The way I originally heard this was that PRC flag was going to be flown over the Capitol, which would make it higher, but that apparantly is not the case.
People should be clogging up the White House e-mail and phone lines about this outrage.

In the article below it says that flags of other countries are flown, but only when those dignitaries are visiting. No dignitary will be here at that time.
Not sure about the flying higher issue.

Should the communist-led USSA fly the flag of capitalist Red China? Modern life is just too confusing for me.
Apparently the Soviet flag flew at least twice at the White House (for Brezhnev and Gorbachev), but it seems that White House staffs used to be sharp enough to make it harder to take pictures like that, even by the foreign press. No doubt that is the kind of photo opportunity the Chinese are looking for, particularly as we become so financially beholden to them.
China owns us, and has planted the flag.
We gave them all our money for plastic crap sold at walmart.
I don't care where the ceremony will take place, why the heck is the United States of America recognizing the birthplace of communism in China???? Is this one of the conditions China made Madame Clinton agree to before taking our mortgage?? What other conditions did she agree to????
