US fury as Israel defies settlement freeze call (Bibi to Zero: Screw you)

US fury as Israel defies settlement freeze call

An ultra-Orthodox Jew prays at sundown at the 'outpost' settlement of Givat Sefer, near Modi'in

Sheera Frenkel in Jerusalem Israeli plans to authorise the construction of hundreds of houses in the occupied West Bank sparked furious protests from American and Palestinian officials yesterday.

In a nod to US requests to suspend all building work at Jewish settlements, Binyamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister, is offering a freeze on construction at a later date — a peace gambit that did little to mollify those involved in the negotiations leading to a new Middle East peace process.

President Obama had hoped to start formal talks between Palestinians and Israel later this month.

“We regret the reports of Israel’s plans to approve additional settlement construction,” Robert Gibbs, the White House spokesman, said. “As the President has said before, the United States does not accept the legitimacy of continued settlement expansion and we urge it to stop.”

Another US official said: “In the end America will be forced to do what is necessary to bring the Israelis and the Palestinians back to the negotiation table. But the Netanyahu Government has proven difficult to work with.”

Settlement growth has been a key impediment to the peace talks. The Jewish settlements, built on land earmarked for a future Palestinian state, are strongly supported by much of the right-wing constituency that elected Mr Netanyahu.

The new plan, drawn up by Mr Netanyahu and outlined by officials close to him yesterday, seeks to placate the right-wing elements of his coalition, while moving forward on conditions laid down by the Obama Administration.

In other words, Israel will be divided and conquered no matter what it takes.

Israel should offer some timeshare homes to Hondurans - just to make it obvious what is going on.

A bone thrown by Bibi to his domestic constituency. Get ready for him to fold comprehensively to State Dept pressure.

When Iran kill and rapes protesters -— No comment from Gibbs

When attacks occur killing whites in America or Jews in Israel -— No comment from Gibbs

When Jews in Israel decide to have children —
Gibbs and King-for-Life Obama cannot sleep

US fury as Israel defies settlement freeze call ...

The fury is limited to the socialist in our White House and others who hate Jews. The rest of us, those who think that "Final Solution" incident in the 1940s was bad, are cheering for Israel.

I imagine Rahm Immanuel is looking for a suitable horse head to send to Bibi.

uh, right...... I'll make a little wager with you on several things I've noticed and know for a fact about Israel.

First.... if Rahm or you or any others think that Bibi can be "intimidated" with a horse head (I know it's a figure of speech/movie metaphor) I seriously doubt that. He's had children blown up, civilians beheaded and tortured and faces threats of death to his family and himself daily not by ballerinas with Napoleonic complexes but by real terrorist that have murdered hundreds.

Secondly the Mossad is actually very well known for using blackmail to infiltrate and intimidate targets for surveillance and missions, especially the use of male and female prostitutes. I'm sure, positive, certain that with the number of czars, appointments and "counselors" that this administration has used without vetting or background security clearance, the Israelis have a number of operatives or targets already inside the administration. Maybe not at the top level but as "aides", administrative assistants and other staff.

Thirdly, Israel can afford to lose only one war. They do not have the benefit of geographic isolation. If they "lose", they end up in the Mediterranean and no other country will take their refugees.

So Obama may huff and puff, Little Rahm the ballerina may bow up and act like a thug, but it's nothing the Israelis haven't seen before. ......... if all else fails then they've been know to play with the iron fist...... just ask the men involved in the Munich attack about Mivtza Za'am Ha'El........ oh that's right, they're not alive anymore.

I guess you just needed a post, any post to use as an intro for your post so I’ll assume your attitude wasn’t directed at me. And yes, it was a movie reference.

As the President has said before, the United States does not accept the legitimacy of continued settlement expansion and we urge it to stop.”

BO needs to worry about his own 'legitimacy' before sticking his nose what's legit for anyone else. Let's do that statement over to make it correct.

As the President has said before, the United States does not accept me as their legitimate president; however the USA does accept the legitimacy of the continued Jewish settlement expansion and they urge it to continue.

bam has not learned the greatest lesson of politics and warfare, preferring to believe himself, as his mythmakers constructed him, to be infallible.
He planned to AMBUSH Netanyahu in one of two places, the G20 conference in Pittsburgh, or the UN opening session. He intended to catch Netanyahu by total surprise as he laid down his ultimatum to Israel, thereby embarrassing him and believing that, like clinton did with the Wye Accords, Netanyahu would have no way out.
CLASSIC clinton, except Bibi has been there and done that. He made the mistake of trusting clinton and took him at his word. That will never happen to Bibi again.
Consequently, the “pencilled in” ambush leaked. When you plan to ambush someone, or an army of someones, you don’t “pencil it in.” You just do it.
bam is proving himself to be a rather impotent adversary for Netanyahu. And this is Bib’s response. FUBO!!!
