An AM radio station in Allentown, Pennsylvania was targeted also. A tower was toppled Friday according to sister radio station WHP in Harrisburg yesterday.
WAEB is owned by Clear Channel and carries Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh.
The real motive here??????

Read once, read twice, read thrice - same level of total whacko ‘intelligence’. These people, when questioned, freely claim that human beings are a cancer to the planet and need to be gone. Since they fail to absent themselves voluntarily, I hereby propose that they be declared a ‘public nuisance’ and a bounty placed on their ears when turned in to the proper authorities. Then if you see someone sans ears walking about, you can guard you and yours appropriately.

The Earth Liberation Front (ELF) is an organization with the children of Hitler and Stalin as its members. They are anti-Human and should be dealt with the same as the Nazi and Communist dictators.

From Wikipedia:
KRKO is an affiliate of the Fox Sports Radio Network and broadcasts a sports-talk format.
A shot across the bow? A little warning to Murdoch to cool it with our friend Beck? Who knows. Stay tuned.

They need to just start shooting these guys.
To: Dallas59
It's a wonder that these guys weren't zapped when they contacted the tower with the heavy equipment. On AM stations the tower itself is “hot” and it is the antenna. You can tell an AM tower from an FM tower by looking for insulators on the tower legs and/or guy wires. AM stations have them, FM doesn't. These were likely low power AM stations that were turned down for night time. If they'd have chosen a high powered AM station, like WSB in Atlanta or WLS in Chicago, which operate at 50kw day and night, these thugs would have been in for a very rude surprise....

In an unrelated story, the transmission towers for NPR, which use a far stronger signal, remain intact.

When all legal channels of opposition have been exhausted, concerned citizens have to take action into their own hands . . . I agree with this. It is long past time to put bullets into these spoiled and ignorant brats. Perhaps this incident will convince the rest of the world that these movements are full of stoners and middle aged stoners who substituted science and reason with temper tantrums and pot. If they won't listen to reason, they can listen to gunfire.

Idiots don’t even realize that the AM spectrum is already full of natural signals. I wonder what they think the static between radio frequencies is.

The Earth Liberation Front (ELF) issued a statement saying opponents of the towers argue that "AM radio waves cause adverse health effects including a higher rate of cancer, harm to wildlife, and that the signals have been interfering with home phone and intercom lines." "When all legal channels of opposition have been exhausted, concerned citizens have to take action into their own hands to protect life and the planet," Jason Crawford, a spokesman for the group, said in a news release.
