Iranian report: Teheran developed anti-cruise missile system

By JPOST.COM STAFF

Iran has developed an anti-cruise missile system, state-run Press TV reported on Sunday.

Announcing the latest milestone in the domestic military industrial achievements, Air Force Brigadier General Ahmad Miqani said, "[Despite] thirty years of military sanctions by the enemy, the armed forces have taken appropriates steps toward self-sufficiency and have been able not only to update their equipment, but also to achieve wide-ranging progress in the military and aerospace sector."

The Khatam al-Anbiya Air Base, which operates under the supervision of general Miqani, is the unitary supreme body coordinating and overseeing the nationwide defense of Iran's airspace.

Miqani listed ongoing improvements of existing systems, domestic construction of tens of anti-aircraft artillery pieces at a level that is comparable with latest international systems, construction of air defense missiles, and active and passive radars.

"Today, we are able not only to identify stealth cruise missiles, but also to destroy them," he elaborated on Press TV.

Can we test it very soon? I mean, like, a REAL test?

You know, just to shake out the kinks a little bit. See how it works against about 200 of these cruise babies.

My thoughts eggsactly.

But we need to do it in various ways. I do believe 200 is a good working number though.

First. We send cruise missiles over 1 at a time, this will be a good warm up. 200 missles would be good as this will negate any flukes in the system, should any cruise missles be missed.

Next, we send over 200 missles in waves. Maybe 20 waves of 10 missles. This will warm the system up a little more, and show how it performs under multiple threats.

Phase 3, we launch 200 missles at once to see how the systems works under severe test.

Lastly we launch waves of 200 missles. Like phase 2, 20 waves would be good. 20 waves of 200 missles. This will show us how Ahmahnutjob works under stress.

I think they run out of rocks soon into the first round of 200 missiles coming in one at a time so any further testing is a waste of money, may well be fun, but still a waste of money.

Air Force Brigadier General Ahmad Miqani is just too funny. Must be related to Bagdad Bob.

They have a really fantastic reputation for shooting their mouths off about all kinds of vaporware weapons —lots of photoshop, too.

This system probably interfaces with those scary ROBOT SAND SPIDERS we have heard so much about.
