Glenn Beck’s Next Target: Cass Sunstein
Washington Independent ^ | 9/4/09 3:36 PM | David Weigel

Posted on 09/06/2009 12:04:35 PM PDT by Repeal The 17th

As he makes a real impact in pushing conservative fringe attacks on Obama administration officials into the mainstream, Glenn Beck’s Twitter feed has become a must-read. In a message from last night, Beck told his followers to “FIND EVERYTHING YOU CAN ON CASS SUNSTEIN, MARK LLOYD AND CAROL BROWNER.” They are, respectively, the nominee to head the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, the Associate General Counsel and Chief Diversity Officer of the FCC, and the Assistant to the President for Energy and Climate Change. Browner was also administrator of the EPA for all eight years of Bill Clinton’s presidency.

Beck’s ostensible purpose here is to expose the “czars” who’ve been appointed by the president. Sunstein stands out like a sore thumb, as he’s been tied up by holds and filibusters for months, and Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) only filed for cloture on his nomination at the start of August.

How has Sunstein become so controversial? Basically, conservative Websites have read his iconoclastic, theoretical writing and pumped up the bits that sound really strange.

It’s a target rich environment, but I’d really like to see Mark Lloyd go. Does that make me racist?

Good. Sunstein is SO far out there, he's impossible to believe when one reads his own words.

Plus, he has scribbler's diarrohea; simply stacks and stacks of writings which should provide more than enough verbal nooses with which to lynch him (Note to Secret Police: that last is a metaphor, merely a literary device, and not an incitement to any violence

About time. This guy is less overt, but probably much more dangerous than Jones. He has been arguing for some time that there is “too much choice” on the internet.

Alleluia! Somebody in the media is finally taking off the gloves and using the lefts tactics against them! It’s about time! It’s the ‘politics of destruction’ except that Glenn is using THE TRUTH and THEIR OWN WORDS against them!

Go Glenn Go!

I admire that man more and more every day! God bless him! (and protect him).

Wrong line. The line you want with that photo is, ''You gotta ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya, punk?''

Either line is equally apropos, though...

Word on the block is that Obama wants to name Sunstein to the Supreme Court if he wins a second term.

I’m confused.

Which of the Obama appointees require legislative confirmation and which do not?

It was my understanding that Van Jones got his job w/o hearings or (obviously) passing a background check.

What is different about Sunstein (”been tied up by holds and filibusters for months, and Sen. Harry Reid . . . only filed for cloture on his nomination at the start of August”) and Jones?

This article calls Sunstein, Lloyd, and Browner “nominees.” Are they not working in the administration yet, but Jones was?

Too many of these leftists to keep them all straight.

They need a good graphic collage of all of the Obama Commissars.
It's quite a Commissariat of certifiables.

Beck has already featured Mark Lloyd, "FCC Diversity Czar".

Mark Lloyd A Civil Rights Leader Enrages Conservatives

"..Lloyd wants to restore local and national caps on the ownership of commercial radio stations and ensure greater local accountability over radio licensing. The kicker is he would also require owners who refuse to give up profitable air time in the name of “localism” to pay a fee to support public broadcasting.

He proposes using the existing FCC “localism” requirement, which can mean anything from running more public service announcements to putting Janeane Garofalo on after Rush Limbaugh. Local community organizers would be encouraged to harass conservative stations by filing complaints with the FCC..."

He wants, and is near the power that can do it, to get rid of Conservative talk radio.

Amazing how hysteric the Left gets when someone starts quoting their political idols.

The Joker will be lucky to last it out until the end of his first term. Either his balloon never lands or he has something really sinister planned for the next two elections. The latter worries me.

We need to connect the dots for America (the media wouldn’t do it and Obermann totally will not do it as he is to busy going after Glen Beck).

All Liberal Democrats should have the letters B.G. as a part of their name. For example, Cass Sunstein, B.G.,
Nancy Pelois, B.G., Harry REid, B.G., and above all,
Mr. President, B.G.

“BRILLIANT GENIUS”

Or, should it be brilliant, superior genius, or superior, brilliant genius? Or instead, maybe “Your HIghness”, or “Your Majesty”? Or, maybe, “Your Excellency”?

Quite a problem to decide how to address these superior beings transported from another place to save us all.

/s/

IMHO

Uh, no! Nothing has to be “pumped up” about this fruitcake. Just REPORTED!! Exposing these people for who and what they are is enough to prompt their removal from the White House. And all that’s required are the FACTS which the MSM ignore.
