Yes, and no.....

How's that for wishy washy?

On one hand, I totally agree. Especially now, especially with what this country is facing within our own government.

On the other hand...I have to wonder if a select group of Republican Solons are not holding their powder...watching and waiting?

As may be a good tactic...considering President Obama and his merry band of commies are needing no help right now in imploding.

Back to the "one hand".....it pisses me off to no end...that "we the people" have few elected voices willing to "place it on the line".

But then I hear this Senator and that Congresswoman said this or that...in defense of our Nation...and it's muted, and it's corralled to be localized by Government Run Media...and "we the people" nationwide never hear about it.

So I am somewhat torn....

We are up against a big machine....( not saying, I'm not worthy of the struggle ) but it's makes a difference as to how and what I think about my Rep's...

But then again...I live in OK..and have great Rep's...but I bet you never heard what Inhofe had to say the other day....Although he CAN be a loose cannon on occasion...I thought he was spot on of late.

I may not have said that well...but please reply.

And i will respond

OK, Kiddies, now answer this question about Dear Leader’s speech: If you have lots of Czars hand selected by Dear Leader to run the government, why do you need a Congress?

That’s right, little Billy. You don’t.

Who is your congressman? Tell me all about what they have done.

MY congressman is MIKE PENCE and at least he is doing SOMETHING while YOUR congressman is doing what?

My other congressman is Steve Buyer. ANOTHER PATRIOT!

Instead of writing "throw the baby out with the bathwater screeds" lets hear what YOU are doing!

BTW when Mike Pence was doing local talk radio he BACKED his words up with ACTION! HE didn't just write it and talk it he went to WASHINTON, DC, and is working it.

Also Micheal Weiner is a poser. He can't even use his real name.

His support with campaign contributions to Jerry Moonbeam means you got no hero's but POSERS!

He’s calling for a hold on any more appointments while backgrounds and qualifications of those already placed are examined.

Under what authority?

There’s no law prohibiting members of the House—or any one of us, for that matter—from looking into their writings, speeches, appearances, etc., just like Glenn Beck did. It’s what every member of congress ought to be doing.

But there is nothing in the law allowing them to keep the president from appointing these czars until Congress investigates. Pence can investigate an czar he wants too. I don't have a problem with, and applaud him for doing so. But any investigation will have to take place after the fact and without Congressional proceedings. Nothing authorizes anything else.

You ask, "Under what authority" does Pence call for the administration to hold off on more czar appointments? Again, he's not demanding confirmation powers or hearings, in the House or Senate otherwise. This is not hard. He's calling for the President to exercise voluntary restraint in appointing more. You're the only one talking about official "proceedings."

You can't be suggesting that a Congressman cannot voice a common-sense opinion and seek redress? That's what members of Congress DO. Pence's statement was made under the authority of an American citizen and duly elected representative of the American people, who swore to uphold the Constitution. Pence is making his case in the court of public opinion, which, last check, is open to any one.

“Who is your congressman?”

That’s a great question for virtually everyone across America, because for the most part, none of us really has any representation. And you think your reps are such a big deal? Whoop dee doo. They make a couple statements on a Sean Hannity show, toss out a press release expressing their “concern” over what the Obama Administration is doing, and then they go to lunch. They aren’t doing ANYTHING worth a crap. The only people moving this situation at all are the talk radio guys, Michelle Malkin, Sarah Palin, and the American people who are pushing and shoving back. There is no current republican in Congress that I would send even a dollar of support to, not a single one of them.

Also, “Micheal (actually Michael) Weiner is a poser?” Please, spare me the West Hollywood fruity lingo. Poser, indeed. Savage has “posed” his way to the number 3 talk show host in America and unlike people like Pence, Savage is willing to put himself on the line for this country, to boldly tell the truth and force the issue. Pence is having lunch.

No, you said it all well. Here’s the deal though. You mention that some Republicans might be ‘keeping their powder dry’, as a justification/explanation about why they are so invisible right now. But I really disagree with that approach. Partly, they are simply engaging in political strategy, with the focus on positioning themselves for political gain next election. Things are too serious for that right now. The current situation calls for action NOW. If we lose the Healthcare debate/vote, it’s a devastating blow for America. If we lose Cap and Trade, it’s a devastating blow for America. And there is so much information available that would thoroughly disgrace and defeat both those measures if we had anyone willing to step up. We have no one, other than talk radio personalities, Michelle Malkin, Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, and then us.

This whole “Dick Morris/Karl Rove” mindset is wrong, where it’s all about who is positioning themselves for the next election. None of that matters if our side wins and then doesn’t have the guts to do anything once they are elected. And that happens far too often. Someone has to actually do something once they get in office. These people have HUGE soap boxes, and I don’t agree that the MSM is able to squelch any of our people anymore. If they are loud enough. We have no one willing to be loud.

Yea the poser doesn't use his real name, unlike Pence, and gives money to leftwing candidate's, unlike Pence. "

Out to lunch" describes your statements PERFECTLY!!!

You can't be suggesting that a Congressman cannot voice a common-sense opinion and seek redress?

Sure he can. But he cannot call for and expect a halt to such appointments until Congress can vet them because Congress doesn't have the authority to do so. Congressman Pence can investigate all he wants on his own and publish anything he finds in open forum and the chips may fall where they may? He may get other czars to resign or cause embarrassment to the administration, and should be applauded for that.

He's calling for the President to exercise voluntary restraint in appointing more.

And if the Democrats had demanded the same of Bush, what would the reaction here be? What people forget is a demand placed on one president is a precedent set for future ones. An agreement buy Obama not to appoint people until Congress can investigate them will mean that the next Republican president will be expected to do the same. And when all their appointments are labeled racist or sexist or homophobic or God knows what else then what person in their right mind would ever agree to serve again?

What happened to Jones is fair game. He said those things, he took the heat for them, and he and Obama are paying the political price. Expecting that the process for appointing these people change is not going to happen, nor should it.
