I don’t think they really believe that deep down. You know a lot of them watched Beck’s exposé or they wouldn’t have been trying to bring him down in the first place. If they watched, they had to see the video/audio footage of Jones’ various remarks over the years and in recent year, even months. So, they’re just spinning it that this is about calling pubs assholes as cover for what Jones is really all about.

It’s pretty bad when the best thing you can say about a close adviser to the president is that he called pubs assholes and said Bush arranged the attack on the WTC.

Van Jones, more than anything else, will be the Left’s undoing. He is being passionately defended by everyone from the far left to the icons of the “main stream” media (e.g., David Gergen) for words that are by any objective measure completely indefensible.

His anti-semitism alone will prove fatal to Dems. Jimmy Carter did not get a majority of the Jewish vote in 1980. I’ve never understood why Jews ever vote Democratic, but in the face of this nonsense it is hard for me to imagine that Jews will stand for this.

This is likely the camel’s nose under the tent. There must be lots more where this came from, and on other White House personnel.
