Have Church oust 'pro-choice' pols

I was very disappointed with biased news coverage of the recent funeral of the late Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass. If I didn't know better, I would think that he was being considered for sainthood.

Is this the same man who was responsible for the death of Mary Jo Kopechne at Chappaquiddick? Is this the same devout Catholic who divorced his first wife, Joan, after 25 years of marriage? Wasn't he involved in the drunken escapades of the younger members of the Kennedy clan in Florida?

During the funeral Mass, I was appalled to see that President Barack Obama was allowed to take the pulpit to give the eulogy for Kennedy. I thought there was a church policy to prohibit pro-abortion politicians from speaking at Catholic venues. This is a scandal that the Archdiocese of Boston created itself.

The Boston archbishop should have issued a statement denouncing Kennedy's lifelong support of abortion to make it clear the senator opposed these teachings of the Church.

The problem with news coverage these days is that anyone can call themselves anything. If Sen. Kennedy called himself a devout Catholic, then he'd be portrayed that way.

Kennedy spent his entire political career promoting today's "culture of death." Some might have even called him the poster boy for the abortion industry. Real Catholics practice their faith by being "pro-life" and oppose other items such as stem cell research.

Fifty million babies have been killed since 1973 with the unwavering support of Kennedy and other Catholic elected officials such as Vice President Joe Biden and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

We, as a country,

There are two Roman Catholic Churches, the myth and the reality. The reality is often very ugly. Kennedy is just one of many examples. The church is a congregation of sinners, and this includes the hierarchy of the church. The Roman Catholic Church had a golden opportunity to take a stand, and she wimped out.

They're not supposed to be allowed to take the pulpit.
But the modernist Archdiocese of Boston has a track record of not following the rules or Catholic teaching.
And the Kennedys carry around a special Get-out-of-Jail Free Card which
provides a dispensation from following the moral teachings of the Catholic faith.
If you missed the seminar at Weston and Harvard on how this works, maybe they could post it on youtube.

Evidently it is not working. He hasn't came out of the grave yet. He may come out tomorrow but today he was still there.

One might imagine he is getting briefed on Humanae Vitae, Evangelium Vitae, and exactly what is evil and wrong about abortion and embryonic stem cell research from higher authorities. It would be interesting to see the look on his face when he is being shown the souls of all of the children aborted or sliced up in embryonic stem cell research!

Don't know for sure, but he could be reliving the last moments of all those babies, over and over, and Mary Jo's as well.

Ted Kennedy demonstrated he had no fear of God, or the Judgment.

Grim thought.
The karmic debt for abortion can't be good.

Without repentance and confession, I doubt it is.

Here's the thing - his scandalous support of abortion and embryonic stem cell research was public. So he had to repent publicly, but didn't. So why didn't his priest and bishop order him to? That should have been his assigned penance -to recant and repent publicly.

Maybe they did, and he told them to go to hell. He was good at telling people that.

All that sanctimonous praying for his soul from the Boston upper-crust was disgusting. I prayed for that man's soul while he was living, maybe he's hearing those prayers too, in Hell while he roasts. Hail Mary...

As with Notre Dame (who could have, in principle, been told that it has to quit calling itself Roman Catholic) there seems to be a technicality that if the pro-abort pol does not claim to be a Roman Catholic, then his or her presence to speak is not only OK but possibly laudable. Methinks the Vatican’s angel-pin-head-dancing micrometer has gotten a bit too finely tuned. Joe Average’s reaction to this on the street is not going to be “ah, what nicely carved out theology” but more like “WTF!?!”

Good analogy.
That was the spin ND's fruitcake president and apostate board tried to offer, claiming they had consulted canonists for the hair splitting.
But, no, NO pro-abortion advocate is to be given honors, degrees, or a speaking
platform to advance the culture of death. Certainly not in a pulpit or within the
sanctuary at the front of the church.
I will take a guess here that they would claim both that it was a private funeral AND that it was a state event of national significance requiring diplomatic and political protocol. The story is that the family requested Obama, "the last Kennedy brother" according to Chris Matthews, presumably to create the aura of Camelot.

The modernist church in America has been bending over backwards, quite literally in some cases, to accomodate heretics, liberal baby killers, and the sworn enemies of the Church in some cases. Like with Obama. Do you think he slipped Bishops O'Malley and McCarrick the handshake with a nudge nudge and a wink? It would be interesting to take a look at the photo. Also, to see if he was gloating and smirking again like they were suckers, as he did at Notre Dame.

The Bummer is garbed with the ND emblem. “Of course” it is because he is being welcomed as an honorary graduate. Which is also wrong, but hey. (When I graduated with a class from a secular university, we didn’t wear any university emblems.)

It's amazing they didn't burst into flames.
This was just a few weeks after they had covered up the cross
and the name of Jesus for Obama's speech at Georgetown.
