A California judge today tentatively scheduled a trial for Jan. 26, 2010, for a case that challenges Barack Obama's eligibility to be president based on questions over his qualifications under the requirements of the U.S. Constitution.
If the case actually goes to arguments before U.S. District Judge David Carter, it will be the first time the merits of the dispute have been argued in open court, according to one of the attorneys working on the issue.
In a highly anticipated hearing today before Carter, several motions were heard, including a resolution to long-standing questions about whether attorney Orly Taitz properly served notice on the defendants, which she had.
In a second ruling, Carter ordered that attorney Gary Kreep of the United States Justice Foundation can be added to the case to represent defendants Wiley Drake and Markham Robinson, who had been removed by an earlier court order. Drake, the vice presidential candidate for the American Independent Party, and Robinson, the party's chairman, were restored as plaintiffs.
But the judge did not immediately rule on Taitz' motion to be granted discovery – that is the right to see the president's still-concealed records. Nor did Carter rule immediately on a motion to dismiss the case, submitted by the U.S. government, following discussion over Taitz' challenge to the work of a magistrate in the case.

Every time I see that phrase it reminds me of how they changed it in the Hollyweird film to “Truth, Justice and all that other stuff”....bastards.

He’s already spent close to a million trying to prevent this info from getting out. I’m guessing we are now using MY money to prevent it from getting out. Quite frankly, I feel that I am also a party who is being harmed by more theft from the Greatest Thief.

Also it was brought to my attention today that the “natural-born citizen” clause (meaning TWO parents need to be U.S. citizens) was inserted in the Constitution in order to prevent Alexander Hamilton from becoming President (because of his questionable parentage.)
Have I missed something? I have always understood the multiple ways BHO might not be a citizen. What I never see is a discussion about his name.
IF... his name was legally changed to Barry Soertoro, he may no longer be Barack Obama. The papers where he applied to law licenses, Illinois State Senate, US Senate, etc. may not even be valid.

I was just wondering if hisspending our tax dollars on this issue may not be a blessing in disguise. Why is the politico now following this case? Is it because Obama has now involved the DOJ?
Besides many Obama supporters deny that he is even fighting this case at all. Now the politico reporting of him using the DOJ to claim that no American citizens have standing and that no Court has jurisdiction is proof positive that Obama is fighting this case and that his position is that no American ciizen or Court has the right to challenge him.
