John (1J2) and James (4:4) were pretty clear on man’s attempt to be friends of the world and children of God.

This is what they’re doing.

"We've had people say how dare you take the name of God in vein,"

How do they melt the name of God into a spoon, suck it up into a syringe and shoot it up? I'd like to see that!

I was born with a vast attraction to women. However, God would not overlook fornication and adultery if I did not repent.

The Pope was granted the line item veto in Vatican II.

Oh, if you’ve read the Gospels and certainly if you’ve read Paul, no doubt the early church welcomed gay men and lesbians, as well as all other manner of notorious sinners. Where I think the MCC runs into trouble is that they’re leaving off what Jesus, and the apostles, and Paul undoubtedly said next:

“Welcome! Now go and sin no more.

"I wonder how these openly-gay “Christian” churches deal with Leviticus, and more importantly, with some of Paul’s letters. Are they, like some Catholics, “cafeteria Christians”? How does one, as pastor, teach that the Bible is the One Truth (except for the parts we don’t agree with)?"

They have no power to intercede on Gods behalf if they are unrepentant sinners. And someone taking communion knowing full well they are unrepentant, blasphemous- is not a smart thing to do.

This is exactly what the National Socialists were at war with... so, when someone uses the term "Gaystapo," they might not realize how close to the truth they really are.

The entire philosophy of birth control, abortion and sex outside of traditional marriage is essentially the same as homosexuality. The legalization (through non-"discrimination") of "consequence-free" sex by society, including cohabitation and illegitimacy, makes society sterile.

Instead of sharing, the way parents do for children and elders, such as moving production back to communities by miniaturizing technology and spreading it around, instead the big fish of the death cult eat the little fish, driving all local production out of business in a quest for total global domination.

" Bravo. Christ said that he didn’t come to abolish the Law, but to complete it. Every jot and tittle of the Law remains true, but it is tempered by Christ’s love. We are not “charged” for the times we fail, provided we acknowledge them, ask forgiveness for them, and honestly try to repent. 39 posted on Wednesday, September 09, 2009 7:12:02 AM by 50sDad (The Left cannot understand life is not in a test tube. “Would Jesus discriminate.”

No, but he would tell then to stop all sexual activity, sell all they had and follow him.

When I was in college one of the favorite canned debate statements was “if two gays came to Christ and asked to be married would he do it?”

My reply was that he would have healed them, like he did with others that came to him with a disorder.

This wasn't the reply they were looking for.

I would add that the homosexual crowd desires APPROVAL from the church for their sexual behavior.

I would aver that homosexuals want what we all want, to be loved, which is what we are all commanded to do. When we are obedient and love, the Holy Spirit changes and moves inside the recipient of that love.

Homosexuals are no worse sinners than any of the rest of us.

Moses’ laws applied to his people while living in the promised land. Christ came to complete the laws which God began to give Moses on Mt Sinai. The ten commandments, of which there are now 256 or so.

"liberals believe that Jesus abolished the law? I’ve run into this before, as well. But mostly, they just discount the authority of the Bible as a whole.

Liberals confuse scripture concerning the "old law" (covenant) with scripture concerning the "new law" (covenant) In that sense, yes, Christ abolished the "old law" which was Mosaic law, the old covenant which condemned everyone to death. There is also Gods laws, which were the ten commandments, which were sealed in the ark, Moses's Oral laws, which were not. It is those Mosaic laws that were meant to pass away

Of course everyone is welcomed, but a call to repentance is part of that welcome. Jesus also said “Go and sin no more”.

"Homosexuals are no worse sinners than any of the rest of us."

I would have to disagree with this statement. I agree that sin is sin, but there is a difference. Most people are ashamed of their sin and may try to hide it, but they don't take the name of their sin and use it to identify themselves. They don't celebrate their sin. They don't ask for special consideration and treatment because they perform that particular sin, but many homosexuals do these things.

Perhaps, once again, they are stretching what is written about in the Bible.

I’m thinking about Acts 8:26-40, the story of Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch. Perhaps they equate eunuch with homosexual.
