The irony is is Obama and the libs are going to screw the average union worker and they don’t even know it.
With the projected job losses from cap and trade, and the loss of other union jobs that live off of those union jobs existing, there will be millions of union workers who get let go and won’t be in the union anymore.
They’re screwed and they don’t even know it yet. The only ones who’ll ride it out are the union leaders and administrators.
Single payer is only a means to an end. Massive government intrusion into your personal life and control over you is the real goal.
Hell they will be able to play God with you, they set up the rules if you live or die.

Not quite. HR 3200 also calls for taxpayers funding union workers’ pensions. So, if the jobs go away, these people can negotiate early retirements and we’ll pay for it along with their health care.

Part of the plan is to eventually replace the Union medical plans with a government plan paid by taxpayers, and to let the unions keep their multi-multi million dollar trust funds.
In return the unions will spend even larger amounts of money supporting democrats during every election.

After reading this it appears this has nothing to do with “those poor people who can’t afford insurance” and everything to do with unionizing hospital workers, period.
I believe Frank Luntz hit the nail on the head with his analysis tonight: President Obama’s speech will probably have some short-term effect, in raising the popularity of his healthcare-reform proposal a bit (at least, at the margins); but within a couple of weeks or so, that bump will have entirely dissipated.
He’s right.

What I want to know is where the reserves of the insurance companies will go. That's a huge pile of money. I doubt that they will let the reserves go back to the current shareholders or the policyholders.
