Remembering 9/11 .......
9/10/09

http://www.gunstuff.com/america-attacked.html

I watch this video often. Each time I watch it, I cry. It brings me right back to that awful day, a day I will NEVER forget.

I just wanted to share it with my fellow FReepers and hope you pass it along.

You are correct.

John Moran, Battalion Chief Battalion 49
(Freeper BCM)

If God was interested in good company he found it in John Moran. John was truly a modern day Renaissance man. He displayed equally assets of physical and intellectual prowess, all wrapped up in true humility. Think of society's loss of an individual who dedicated his life to service in the form of fighting fires and saving lives. He answered the call for leadership by rising to the rank of Battalion Chief, enduring departmental exams for years and at the same time attaining a Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law!

An accomplished musician, John played bass guitar, guitar, piano, the Irish tin whistle, drums and I would imagine a few other instruments I am not aware of as well as singing. John Moran was an Irish Lion with a heart to match, he embodied so much that makes me proud to be an Irish-American, and his brother Mike did us all justice by plainly stating what we all felt. Beach 118th Street at Ocean Promenade has been renamed Chief John Moran Way.

Me too. It is so important to remember. And, though it might sound morbid, it helps to “re watch” - especially because of my kiddo in Iraq and another one training for Afghanistan - helps me keep things in perspective when I worry about them.

I am upset knowing that tomorrow the TV channels will be full of 9-11 coverage. That day is burned in my mind forever. Maybe that's why my stomach has been "off" all day. The dread of knowing what the near future holds.

My youngest was only 10 months old that day and I remember sitting on my bed with my husband and baby crying so hard that I woke up my daughter - who was 10. She didn't understand exactly what was going on but she knew it was bad because of my reaction. That and the fact that her dad was running around to get our American flag up at the same time the neighbors across the street were yelling the same thing. I'm crying just remembering this part of the day

God, please watch over all who lost someone in the 9-11 attack on our country and her people. ~Nadine

God bless you and thank you for raising 2 wonderful boys who put themselves in dangers way for those of us who will never meet them (and those out there who don't appreciate).

Prayers to you for a peaceful mind and to your boys for their safety =).

Please tell them thank you, from me, with a big hug!

Morbid, it is not. I believe a lot of people forgot that day, or just push it out of their heads as no biggie, for their own ideological aspirations.

I will continue to shove it in their faces.

Let us NEVER forget those nearly 3,000 innocent Americans who were murdered by the Islamists.
Don’t let Obama desecrate the memory of those Americans who were murdered by his fellow Muslims. Send this video to everyone you know.
Every American should view this video made by a New Yorker who lived through the attack:

http://attacked911.tripod.com/

This video has been viewed by untold millions and is now in the Smithsonian.
(Sadly, the New Yorker who made this video has since succumbed to lung damage sustained during the attack)

The video includes the planes crashing into the buildings and victims jumping. There are pictures of many of those who lost their lives, and president Bush’s aftermath speech set to the haunting background music, ‘Only Time’ by Enya. It is truly awesome.

I can not possibly say what I think of the biped that occupies the Office that should be reserved for Patriots, not to mention AMERICANS.
He is murdering us.
