My 2 cents on this topic...women hate man-boobs and men who look pregnant. Men hate fat flabby bitchy women. It’s only natural to be uninterested when spouses let themselves go. Fatigue from busy lives takes its toll too.

Kindness is under-rated. That simple kindness and tenderness of the first years of knowing eachother, if we just reintroduce that, with very easy and free gestures, it goes a long way to rekindling romance.

It takes very little kindness to make a woman feel that old flame start to burn again. Hold her hand, kiss her cheek for no reason, hug in the kitchen, say the 3 words, it’s very easy.

My mother-in-law, God rest her soul, told us one time when they had been married 55+ years, "Sometimes I can't stand the sight of him!". Of course, she was kidding. I think.
