This accident-on-purpose was a favor to Obama. POTUS gets credit for saying Kanye West is a jackass, but it looks as if Obama didn't intend to taint his office by even officially acknowledging the rap star.

No. Even Beyonce, the girl Kanye was hoping to pump up, disapproved of his action.
If Obama had sided with Kanye West on this one, it would have shown that he unequivocally supports blacks over whites and have driven everyone who wasn’t black out of his support base.
