He might not have watched it on MTV. I didn't, but it was one of the headlines this morning, and that's where I heard about it. It's been all over the news, even on FR, and he could've seen the reports of the incident. Maybe he reads FR??? Said TIC, of course, but wouldn't that be a hoot?

My thought exactly. He's got way to much time on his hands. I always thought the President was in the Oval Office working on important issues. This guy spends all of his waking hours campaigning, making speeches and responding to criticism from talk radio, Fox News and the blogoshpere. Get to work on providing those millions of jobs you promised the sheheple who voted for you.

No point in BO going “off the record” with this unless he wasn’t going to comment on it at all. He had to know that nobody (pretty much) would think that Kanye’s little stunt was cute or had any redemptive value whatsoever.
