Except for a few deep-blue states, they're NOT "lawfully married." A few? Twenty nine states have constitutional bans on gay marriage and another 18 have laws against it.

This is the Dems plan on winning in 2010, between this, the amnesty act that will soon follow and the welfare class they will have all the support they need.

The rumor was out that Nadler was doing to present this bill last Tuesday.
I chatted with my priest about it and he said that if they try to overturn DOMA, they will destroy their party.

Is it just me,or is the intent of most bills introduced by the libs the exact opposite of the title of the bill? You mean like the Defense of Marriage Act? Which did nothing to curtail the government subsidizing of divorce?
To: mware
Do they want the GLT vote or the black vote? They must choose.

No it’s not just you - it is the work of their propaganda unit to always label bills in a way that gives the opposite appearance from what is in the bill.
In their world, it makes perfect sense though.
In their world, wrong is right.

Let’s see if the tea-party patriots will demonstrate against this travesty with the same zeal. Somehow, I doubt it.

I don't believe THIS attack on the DOMA will succeed at all, but now the public sees more than ever where a Democratic congress stands on the issue.

A few? Twenty nine states have constitutional bans on gay marriage and another 18 have laws against it. That leaves three states that allow "gay marriage." That is enough for the federal judiciary to impose "gay marriage" on the rest of the states.
To: Man50D
Nadler is as anxious to destroy The United States as is zero. What should we expect?

That leaves three states that allow "gay marriage." That is enough for the federal judiciary to impose "gay marriage" on the rest of the states. What homosexuals do in Massachusetts is of no interest to me. If they move to Kansas and call themselves married then it's no skin off my nose. If they try to file their income taxes as married then they'll have problems.

What homosexuals do in Massachusetts is of no interest to me. If they move to Kansas and call themselves married then it's no skin off my nose. If they try to file their income taxes as married then they'll have problems. Like you, I have no interest in the domestic arrangements of homosexuals. I am inclined to live and let live. However, that would be a mistake
It appears to me that the push for "gay marriage" is just one step in a larger, more threatening agenda. Once they can be married, homosexual activists will insist that all institutions in societyprivate as well as publicrecognize their unions. Those who refuse to do so will be labeled as bigots and haters.
Sooner or later, the civil rights machinery of the state and federal government will be brought to bear against churches and private individuals who "discriminate" against homosexuals.
That is not an outcome I want to see.

Boy even those in blue states are trying to get themselves thrown out. Did they miss that even California voted from traditional marriage?

“A few? Twenty nine states have constitutional bans on gay marriage and another 18 have laws against it.”
Right. Like I said, “EXCEPT for a few deep blue states.” All the rest ban it.
