"There's been no bipartisan conversation on Capitol Hill about health care," Boehner said in an interview with "Meet the Press" host David Gregory. "At some point when these big government plans fail -- and they will, the Congress will not pass this -- it's really time for the president to hit the reset button, just stop all of this and let's sit down and start over in a bipartisan way to build a plan that Americans will support." "So you think the plan is dead?" asked Gregory. "I think it is," said Boehner. Earlier in the program, President Obama had said that news coverage of the health care debate over the past week had been dominated not by "the sensible people" but by people stoking controversy. That's what Obama calls 'reaching out'. Anyone who disagrees with him is not sensible, and is merely stoking controversy. Speaking of stoking controversy, election ploy lawsuit for the public release of Jack Ryan's divorce decree. Liar. Crook. Moslem. Obama lied (has done little except lie), his presidency died.
Screw John Boehner. We’re not idiots. We’ll know when ObamaCare is dead. We don’t need no steenkin’ pollutition to tell us when it’s dead.
Obama may figure “get it passed, even by means of ‘reconciliation,’ even if lots of Democrats lose their seats in 2010.” Even if they lost control of the House (the chances that the Democrats could lose the Senate too are still pretty slim), if the law was on the books it would be very hard for the next Congress to reverse it—and Obama could always veto a repeal. Why should Obama care if individual Congressional Democrats lose their seats? He’d have his healthcare legacy—it’s all about him.
Not if the women are Olympia Snowe and Kay Bailey Hutchinson.
I think the men have to find or grow some kahones and get out there and fight this socialist tide. As much as I like Palin, I didn’t think she should have quit (yes I know it stopped the attacks) but the point is leaders have to take the slings and arrows and that’s why we’re disappointed with the guys, but THEY are STILL THERE, they didn’t quit.
You don’t quit early when you don’t have to. You stay in the game. Men don’t have the luxury of quitting when it gets tough. We call them wimps even when they stay in the game but don’t do much. You think we’re going to praise them if they quit?
How would they change the rules if they only have 49 votes or less? If they have more reconciliation would work.
There is no need for bipartisanship in anti-Constitutional politics. There is only room for right and wrong.

Exactly!
>> Healthcare's DOA.
>> The public option parachute fails to open.
>> Van Jones kicked out w/ his dog-eared copy of Das Kapital.
>> ACORN pimps out.
>> Second trillion dollar stimulus is a no show.
>> Obama's numbers sink faster than Michael Moore in a vat of Jello.
Must be all those "hysterical" 9/12 marchers. LOL.
From Beohner’s lips to God’s ears!
I think it is, said Boehner. <-—this is not comforting... we have to be ever vigilant... this isn’t over ...everywhere there is a State Run News Agency...Obummer’s mug is on there pushing himself... Obummer honestly believes if he pushes himself...the Health Care Bill will pass...
That's precisely my admittedly-extremely-cynical point. Dhimmicrats will break any rule, change any rule, create any rule that benefits them. They are completely brazen & shameless about it because the Tingly Media BobbleHeads approves and even touts it as "Hope & Change."
As Exhibit A, I give you the disgrace in Massachusetts to replace Kennedy. Why does Patrick beat around the bush? Just cite International Law or something and APPOINT a Democrat Senator for life.
In the end, Tradition, Manners, Respect, Adult Behavior, Responsibility, and Accountability are all concepts long-lost on Dhimmicrats. Republicans aren't much better when they're in power, but at the bare minimum, most GOP'ers love their country.
Patrick is having the legislature pass a law. It will likely pass, the Dems have a big majority. If you have 50% plus, you write the laws. If you do not have 50% you do not.
For the longest time, I was convinced that they weren't going to jam this through using reconciliation. Then, I heard that speech two weeks - nothing but a big middle finger to the GOP and frankly to the whole country.
They know they're going to lose the House next year, and they might lose in the Senate and the WH in 2012, so they're going for broke right now. Once it's passed, it's going to be very, very difficult to repeal.
Once again the tone deaf hack 0bacommie insults the majority of Americans.
Keep talking Barry you will ensure a turn over in Congress in 2010 and a Republican in the White House come 2012.
If it wasn't for your media sycophants wouldn't be where you are now because on your own you are a miserable politician.
Sorry, I didn't see much evidence in his appearance today to back up that assertion. Gregory asked Boehner and Graham if Obamas policies were socialist because some RNC guy sent out a fund rasing letter using exactly that term.
They both ran and hid like scorched dogs.
So what's the difference? Hutch and Snow would have done exactly the same.
Bachman and Palin aren't afraid of the left or their propagandists. I'll go with them if given the choice.
Great. Shoot the messenger. Were you thinking of Snowe and Collins as being the women to run the Republican Congressional Leadership? They're at the top of the list of spineless RINOS.
I always listen intently to John Boehner in the hope I will hear even a grain of conviction.
