On the brighter side, I watched some of the markup of the Baucaus plan today. It isn’t near the marxist pile of dung that is HR 3200, nor a design to blow up the employer provided insurance model with a socialist bucket at the bottom.
I am still opposed to it, however, on the grounds that the constitution does not grant the United States authority to meddle in health care, among others. On a note more realistic of the political envionmrnt we are in, if they ripped out everything but the insurance exchange sans the standardiztion of plans, and discontinued the tax credit for employers providing insurance it would go alot farther in reducing cost for everyone involved than all of the regulation and taxes this thing adds.
He added earmarks to the HC bill which are intended for a hospital in NV. That usually works.
