London - Researchers found that women will typically spill the beans to someone else in 47 hours and 15 minutes. A study of 3 000 women aged between 18 and 65 also found that four in ten were unable to keep a secret, no matter how personal or confidential the news was. Michael Cox, UK Director of Wines of Chile which commissioned the research said: "It's official - women can't keep secrets." No matter how precious the piece of information, it's often out in the public domain within 48 hours. The study found that the average woman hears three pieces of gossip each week, and will pass it on to at least one other person.

Husbands, best friends and mothers shouldn't count.
A coworker of mine was to be written up for not following the chain of command. No one was to know who the person was. Within 24 hrs two people told me who it was. The 2nd person to tell me was the general manager, after I told her I didn't want to know.
They can keep a secret for as long as a month until the credit card statement comes in.
that’s funny - and it appears to have come from the heart!
Spill the beans. I love that.
We needed a research study to prove this?
!INCOMING!...;0)
I never believe anything until I have first consulted Wines of Chile.
A remarkably irrelevant piece of information unless compared with how well the other 50% of the population keep secrets. It’s quite possible a survey would show men spill the frijoles more quickly than women.
A more accurate headline would likly read “People Can’t Keep Secrets.”
BTW, this story is a truly classic example of a poorly interpreted and presented scientific study.
you have valid points but note — the study was commissioned by >>> Wines of Chile <<< - what did you expect? so laugh a little - smile a bit - no need to take things so seriously!
Plus it is a convenient cheap shot to be used at work today - use it while it is still fresh!
More importantly, why would Wines of Chile commission such a study? Does it somehow support their business model?

OROVILLE — State prosecutors have dismissed charges against a former Butte County grand juror, after she apologized in court for having disclosed alleged confidential information to the media regarding a police excessive force investigation she conducted more than two years ago.
i stumbled upon this story at the Independent Online website, the story being attributed to Daily Mail. When I attempted to post the story, the echo back was that the Independent Online website was banned. So, I went to Daily Mail website and then posted this story with reference to Daily Mail URL. Is there a list of banned websites that I can avoid or what type of websites are banned? what causes a website to be banned - does any one know - being a noob or newb (as i have been referred to) would like to know - out of curiosity -

It’s not that the sites you are attempting to link TO are banned - it is because of copyright complaints and certain rules apply depending upon the site as to what you can and cannot post.
Of course, you being a n00b and all that, with the honors as well as responsibilities that go with that honorific, I’d advise you not to post direct links to DU or KOS or anything else that smells of the Left. Most people like to keep their keyboards clean.
The posting software usually if not always catches what you can post or link to but from time to time you may want to refer to the following list.
This is from the owner of FR, Jim Robinson, aka Jim Thompson to real newbies, explaining which sites require what.
