A monumentally, epically stupid idea.

Because pregnancy and sexual harrassment aren’t any kind of a problem...

I’ll feel really bad for the poor guys doing the Laundry.

Nothing worse that picking up a stiff towel when you’re loading the Washing Machine.

Women on warships get knocked up, and they charge their superiors with sexual harassment. I see more of the same coming from women in subs. It’s another social experiment.

I don't think its an experiment. I think they're counting on certain results...

"I believe women should have every opportunity to serve at sea, and that includes aboard submarines,"

No problem.

Just give women their own subs.

Heck--go all the way: give women their own navy.

Just like with girl scouts and boy scouts.

I couldn’t help but notice the coincidental timing of the heat the “Bikini Baristas” have been taking of late, and these latest career opportunities ;~)

During sea trials I saw a sign on a door in a DDG once changed from "Female Berthing" to "Female Birthing".

In a politically correct climate like we have today, this has even less of a chance of working.

Mix women and gays on subs, perfect mix, won’t have to worry about privacy or pregnancy, can even paint the sub pink.

I have been on submarines. There have already been gay men on submarines but they didn't tell but we knew who they were.

Submarine duty is a hardship duty. It has limited space. When my wife packs for a trip she takes up most of the car. This is why women should never be on submarines. They require too much space, water, and electricity. Allo these items are limited on a submarine.

The U.S. Armed Forces are supposed to deter wars and, failing that, win them. They should not be used for social experimentation.

"Those are our subs now."

Ray Mabus is an idiot. He was an idiot when he was the Governor and an idiot when it came to common sense. I have a letter from him that says a lot of nothing when I asked him how he personally felt about the state flag. He would not stand on the issue and said that he had more important things to address...he lost because of this issue. Mabus is a typical low life crooked Mississippi lawyer...has no business as a Secretary of the Navy.

I am a Submarine Officer. We need every submariner that is assigned to our ship. If one submariner cannot meet their obligation to our ship, several other submariners will have to work much harder to complete their duties and watchstanding obligations. If women are going to be on submarines, they will be officers. They will have their own staterooms. It will be easier to develop a women’s officers corps. I can testify that one of the bigger concerns, is that when a woman gets pregnant, which many women do between 20-35, who will do their job?
