Ahmadinejad: Obama Will 'Regret' Accusing Iran of Hiding Nuclear Plant (Time to apologize)

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said President Obama, along with the leaders of Britain and France, will "regret" accusing Iran of hiding a nuclear facility.

"It's not a secret site," Ahmadinejad said Friday at a news conference in New York. "If it was, why would we have informed the IAEA about it a year ahead of time. "They will regret this announcement."

Ahmadinejad said the new facility won't be operational for 18 months so Iran has not violated any requirements of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Earlier Friday Obama demanded that Iran immediately allow international weapons monitors to inspect a nuclear facility the Islamic Republic acknowledges it has been building for years.

Obama, joined by British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and French President Nicolas Sarkozy at the opening of the G-20 economic summit in Pittsburgh, warned Iran that it will be "held accountable" to an impatient world community if it does not fully disclose its nuclear ambitions.

"Iran has the right for peaceful power, but the size of the facility is inconsistent with a peaceful program," Obama said. "Iran is breaking rules that all nations must follow, endangering the world non-nuclear proliferation regime ... and the security of the world."

“requirements of the International Atomic Energy Agency.”

How can any nation have “requirements” of an organization not of their nation?

just like the 4 almost terror attacks this week, nobody is afraid of Obama. So our enemies are getting emboldened again.

The only reason Zer0 hasn't apologized yet is that it take time to put on the knee pads.

I believe that France, Britan and the US should have a show of force to Iran. Take every bomber and fighter aircraft we have and fly them, at one time, over Iran. At the same time, warn them that if they launch their fighter aircraft or missles, they will be shot down. This show of force will show the people of Iran that the world will not accept their governments decision on Nuclear weapons and this show of force may come to reality in the near future.

Ahmadinejad does have a way of making barry look bad doesn’t he.

George Steponallofus noted that barry knew of the plant before the election - so why now is he saying we need to do something.

Can the grownups get back into office now?

I’manutjob, “We had secret sites for 20 years. This isn’t one of them. We don’t talk about those. And when those are found out, they are strictly peaceful.”

Rinse, repeat, ad nauseum.

Nice scenario...problem is, only Sarkozy strikes me as the one with balls to actually do it. We haven't had a leader since 2008.

He’d better watch his mouth. He might force the U.N. to issue a resolution against him, and THEN he’ll be sorry!
